Ever since I was a kid, I'm already aware of the entertaining factor of video or karaoke in other terms. It's already an old tradition for every Filipino or other Asian citizen to sing in karaoke, even though some of us are in the incorrect pitch or sintunado in Tagalog. I classify myself as a terrible singer. I like to sing in our bathroom while trying to hit the notes, even though I almost sound like a dying goat. Most of the time, even though I know I can't do it, I still try my luck to attain the buzzer-beating part as I was thinking illusional that I have a good voice.

I like music, so I expect to sing secretly in front of my laptop when no one is around. That's just the only part where I have that confidence. We can also use some specialized applications which offer the service that you can sing in different tracks and filter your voice to match the music you're singing if that's what you prefer. I suddenly remembered an app where you can earn money while singing, but I forgot it since I only sing frequently. I'm not comfortable using those apps because I hate hearing my ugly voice, even though I already tried to make it in auto-tune. Therefore, I only go to YouTube to sing my favorite songs for free without having a requirement to record them.

In my previous articles, I told you I'm a certified introvert. I hate interacting with other people, and performing in front gives me anxiety. Like in every celebration where they would rent a karaoke, I always avoid it when someone is offering me to hold the mic. I'm not confident with my voice, not going to lie. However, if someone offers me to sing for cash, I'm definitely "IN"! Who wouldn't be?

While writing, I remember my uncle, who celebrated his grandeur birthday five years ago. I was not surprised when I saw a karaoke where my drunk uncles and gossiper aunts were singing in the venue. To make his celebration more alive, my aunt organized a game in which whoever got the best score in the karaoke for kids would get ₱40.00 ($0.20). My other cousins were paired while I chose to sing alone to solo the prize if I ever won. I sang this song which I relate to my younger self, and I'm surprised got the highest score. My mother was low-key proud of me that time since I could slay them even though I only did it alone. I'm not good at singing; I believe I get lucky. Until now, I'm still clueless about the scoring meter in karaoke.

The latest karaoke that I experienced was already three months ago. I was forced to sing in this photo. I just went outside to pee, then my mother, with her close sibling, invited me to sing. That time, my aunt from Singapore challenged us, and whoever got the 98 and up record could win ₱100.00 ($1.71) instantly. And if the previous winner attains the 100 points, they can get the ₱100.00 ($1.71) prize again. I decided to go with the flow since I experienced my biggest heartbreak. I was low-key depressed as I thought that my dreams since I was a kid would come true. Good thing my aunt sponsored our lunch to commemorate our previous SHS graduation to forget those bad memories. Here is the whole [article](https://read.cash/@kingofreview/congratulation-graduates-c21211d5), by the way! I was singing "Without Me" by Halsey in the image when my cousin recorded me. I also sang songs from other pop artists like Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Anne-Marie, which I know that my cousin knows. I want to sing the "All Too Well - 10 Minute Version", but it is not yet available in the karaoke songbook.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the minimum score even though I had already tried different techniques. The scoring is pretty random and cheating at the same! All of us are already tired of singing with emotions and loud voices, but the only highest score we can get is 97. We're still lucky that all of us won ₱100.00 ($1.71) consolation prize, though.
Thank you for reading. This is just a bit rushed because I finished writing it at 1:00 PM, which is the deadline. I hope you enjoyed reading it!
