Earth is unique in its solar system from all its sister planets in the solar system, although scientists have found planets similar to Earth outside its solar system it still has one significant difference which is the presence of life forms on the planet. Earth has been in existence for billions of years and no one knows how this planet formed, but in religion, they say God created the earth and all live forms duelling within the earth, while scientists said it was the big bang that happened billions of years ago that caused the earth and other planet in the galaxy to form and become a planet.
The earth is filled with natural resources that have sustained the human race for years and will continue to do so for more years to come. Some would say that natural resources have been a blessing and a curse, but I would say it's equal because there have been some good and also some bad. It's human nature to explore and make discoveries, and sometimes, these discoveries have caused harm to the earth's ecosystem, and one of these is the discovery of oil.
Oil is one of the biggest natural resources in the world, and it's traded around the world for money. Oil has caused a lot of harm to the environment. Just take a look at the southern part of Nigeria, which is rich in oil. The region has been a hot source of revenue for the Nigerian economy, but what does it get in return? Nothing. The region has experienced harsh consequences from the constant removal of oil from the ground. Houses have burnt to the ground, and rivers have been polluted with oil, which has caused major deaths for aquatic ecosystems and farmlands, losing their fertility because of oil spillage.
This is why the whole world needs to shift to clean and renewable energy. The world leaders are progressing on making clean and renewable energy a vital movement to help ease the usage of oil and other resources that have caused damage to the earth's ecosystem. The invention of electric cars and buses has been a good start to making that dream a reality, and many people are switching from gas cars to electric cars.
This will help the earth's atmosphere by reducing the levelling of black smoke, which comes out of cars that affects the ozone layer.
It's a good step in the direction of clean energy, and I hope more people shift to this energy it will have a positive impact on the environment. It's often said that some things are better left alone and not tampered with for the better interest of many but like I said before human beings love to explore new things which ends up backfiring in the worst way possible.
The UAE has, for years, been running a cloud seeding project to create rain within the UAE. There is barely rainfall in Dubai and it has been that way for a long time but the researchers in UAE decided to go outside the box and force rain to fall what happened happens when you mass with nature it comes back to bite when it least expected that is what happened in Dubai two days ago when they experience a severe rain and thunderstorm which caused flooding through the UAE.
Some reports are saying it was not the cloud seeding that caused that amount of rain to fall, while others are saying it was the cloud seeding. It does not matter either way. They should not have to tamper with nature in the first place. I hope the UAE get passed this disaster, but I doubt they will stop the cloud seeding project.
