There's a lot of "winning" in the art(s) world(s).
It's kind of weird, isn't it?
Why?
I mean, I have some guesses.
But I guess the bigger question is
Why isn't there more pushback from artists themselves against all this competition aspect?
How many people seek out the arts because winning is important to them?
I'd guess very few people think about the arts as something to do because you want to win.
Very weird.
