Life isn't a race or a single goal to reach. It's a journey, with ups and downs, laughter and tears, joy and sadness, and every moment teaches us something. There's no straight path, no constant happiness, but there's wisdom behind everything that happens, even if it doesn't seem like it right now.
At other times, we are running to go somewhere so we want to get there, win, fall in love, or relax but the thing is, life isn't a destination and it's a journey, and nothing has to be perfect for it to count. There will be times when you will feel lost, and there will be times when you feel like you are on cloud nine, and that is okay.
Don't let failing tear you apart, betrayal freeze you, or a painful situation make you wonder about yourself. Because if you take a closer look, you'll find folks who have made it through the same, perhaps worse, and moved on. Not everything in life will play out the way we want, and not everybody will, but what's important is that you stay on your feet and you keep moving forward.
Learn to forgive, forget, and release. Not for him or her or them, but for you. Learn to love not necessarily making it dependent on a person, and dream without keeping all your hope in one. Because what will belong to you will arrive, and what won't belong to you will depart, regardless of whatever you do.
I have learned through life that acceptance is where happiness is, and peace starts with the acceptance of things as they are. Accept it all: your delays, your failures, your frailties, even your sorrow. Because all these are part of the journey, and this journey need not be perfect; it must be real.
Go as far as you can, go slowly, err, learn, but don't come back. Because in the end, we're not here to get there so we're here to exist.
