Although scalability and the struggle for regulations remain, Blockchain technology has shown us the possibilities that exist in today's world. When I read Terganftp's post about a utopian world where our crafts and skills are tested on the rod of service instead of greed and selfishness, it made me think hard about our financial position today. Blockchain made sure that borders are removed when it comes to how we make money, keep money, invest money, and do everything we want to do with our earnings.

It still shocks the doubting Thomases, especially those who have been trying to regulate the industry from day one and still trying today how money is able to move as freely as the wind. The idea of intermediaries has been squashed and people no longer experience restriction when it comes to using the one thing that provides them with status, fulfillment, and happiness - their money.
It goes to show that as long as humanity remains and the earth still breathes, humans will continue to innovate. It is said that the mother of innovation is necessity and while the powers that be try to stifle and control the dynamics of the world, the common man will continue to look for means to rise above the challenge and make good with the available resources. No wonder the very first few chapters of our economic textbooks and lectures hammered upon the scale of preferences and how we can do more with less.
This reminds me of 50 Cents in the book, The 50th Law, Robert Greene said when he came out of prison, he realized the world he left had changed and he needed to change with it, he used what he had to get what he wanted. He did not wait until he had more money, better connections, or a certificate to rise to the challenge. He took the fewer resources at his disposition and turned it into the legend we all lived to see and remember today.
So it wouldn't matter if the powers that be try to shut us up or mute our ability to live, breathe, and shine, humans will always innovate. It is to this end, that Blockchain came as a stepping stone to the possibility of freedom, both financially and otherwise. Walk up to any individual who is involved in any aspect of the Blockchain and you will see them beam with so much joy and expression as they tell their tale.
Who could have thought that one day we will not need to be a citizen of a country to own a piece of the action? Who could have thought we would one day be able to send money to friends and family with just a click? Who could have thought we would one day take control of our money without needing individuals dressed in suits and ties to tell us what to do and when? Who could have thought that it would be possible to be an investor whether we had a bank account or not? Who could thought that age would not be a barrier when it comes to handling one's finances and investing their way to independence? I don't want to ask who would thought fractional ownership would become a thing in a world where you needed to hold a lot of money and influence to be able to get a piece of land or artwork because I am sure you know the answer already.
Look at how the way we acquire artwork has changed, it's no more a case of hiding money away to avoid paying taxes, NFTs have made it possible for a tiny human somewhere to own an artwork legally without breaking any rule or running from the government.
Blockchain has done so much for the common man in a way that would sound absurd to our forefathers who haven't been around to experience this. It will definitely feel and sound absurd to future generations that there was a time when all of this was impossible.
The future that Blockchain is helping to build is one that will defy every notion that we have held onto in the past. And it is the human who is able to embrace change that will enjoy the benefits of this newfound grace and power. Those who will continue to stay in the dark, rejecting the future and doubting its ability to change our lives will find out that they are left out of all the possibilities that Blockchain technology will provide.
The question is, which side of the party are you on? It will be better to choose the winning team and look past all the people trying to regulate and spit on this revolution. These things will pass and when they do, it should be that you have picked a side and it should be the winning side. Take charge of your finances by being a part of the revolution. Blockchain is here to stay, the sooner you realize this, the better your future will be.
