I have a store in my zone where I often feel upset about the way they go about their business. They always run out of products and do not take their business seriously. I thought I was being too paranoid but these few days I have realized my instincts were right. Businesses should not be run the way they ran theirs. Whereby, you will begin to wonder if you'll be wasting your time, energy, and resources to visit them only to be disappointed.

Again, Queen of the South solidified my thoughts. Camilia never jokes with her business partners and she's always ready to make sure that the products are available for delivery. Every time she encountered a roadblock, she uses the interest of her customers that she has at heart and because she doesn't want to disappoint them and lose them to her competitors, she finds a way to close the gap and stay in business.
It's a valuable lesson because it solidified my resolute to be consistent with my writing journey and to make sure that I show every day no matter what happens. Camilia had her fair share of hurdles and some they did terribly and lose a few money and friends but she never stopped showing up. Whatever it took she took advantage of it and made sure that her business stayed put and did not close down.
Consistency is something that no one should joke with, the fact that the next person can depend on you for something is a valuable character. Even Robert Greene says we should always try to make sure that other people are dependent on us for the things that they want. He said it will give some level of freedom to navigate this world. I saw the leverage that consistency gave Camilia. Her customers knew to trust her to deliver and once she was short of supply as a result of a few hiccups, they did not give up on her. They exclusively said they will buy from her competitors until she was ready.
Knowing how dangerous it was to wait for too long to gain her customers back, she did everything and even used her reserve to kill all birds with one stone. Her clients were happy to have her back, not necessarily because she was reliable but because she had the best products in the province.
You see even though she had the best products in the province, she did not make that an excuse for being negligent of the other factors that constitute running a successful business one of them is to keep her customers or clients satisfied with her reliability.
Showing up every day puts you in the minds of people and you could stay there and be able to navigate your freedom. Making money and building wealth is not for those who seek a one-off chance to become rich overnight. It's for those who are willing to put in the energy to build consistently, never wavering, and always looking for opportunities to gain more in the long term.
It does matter whether it's paying off your debts, investing, setting financial goals, budgeting, saving, financial education, etc, you need to stay consistent as this will help you reap the compound effect of consistency.
