It was a long time ago. A mountain of immense beauty stood just behind a village called Alpa Tang, which means "beautiful mountain" in the local language.
This mountain was so attractive that people from far and wide used to come to climb its peak; there was a forest of colorful flowers at the foot of the mountain, the sound of the water of the fountain was like a melody, and in the evening the whole mountain used to glow in red light as if melting gold.
But beneath the beauty of this mountain was a terrible curse.

Um velho da aldeia, Nana Pio, costumava dizer: "Aquele que pisa nesta montanha à luz da lua já não é mais um ser humano." Muitos não acreditaram. Eles escalaram montanhas, tiraram fotos, cantaram e riram. Mas na manhã seguinte, seus nomes não podiam ser encontrados em nenhum outro livro, em nenhuma memória. Até a família tinha esquecido disso.
