The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. Modern hasn't been so bad but I just don't see myself going to Wild because of the cost of a Wild pass and especially so afte the changes to the cost of a Wild pass from VOUCHERS into DEC.
Season Rewards
I ended up with 20k Glint for last season and this is more than the previous season. However, they did boost the Glint earned and lowered the SPS earned from ranked battles. So I don't think I did better than the previous season in terms of fights and rewards. Also, with the increased costs of reward cards, the Glint doesn't seem to go as far.
I opened 3 epic cards but I got 2 of the night reaper. I do think it's a nice card though but I don't know if I like the Halfling Refugee because a melee monster doesn't look that great. It does only cost 1 mana so it might come in useful.
I opened 25 rare cards. I thought they would be the most useful so I went with them, but I think I should try to collect a legendary or some common cards next season.
Gladius Packs
I have been able to collect 7 packs since the last time I opened packs. I am glad to see that the numbers improved this time and it looks to be a great opening. I got one gold foil rare card, two epics, and one legendary card. So I am quite happy with what I got, but I honestly wouldn't have minded getting some more Quoras.
I was able to upgrade my Alva the Crusher to level 4. This card has bloodlust and shield to start. Increasing its level gave it the retaliate skill but it also decreased its health by 1. I do use this card from time to time and I think the extra ability does make it more worthwhile to use.
SPS
My SPS rewards were higher this time due to brawls even though my ranked battles gave me less SPS.
My pool reward for the season is 99.509 SPS and there was less downtime between reports so it went up a bit. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 230.604 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected and this came out a little bit later than usual. The change of VOUCHERS has made me rethink things but I think it's still good that I can get some cards using those VOUCHERS instead.
Conclusion
It's been tough to put in enough time and I am unable to use up all the normal energy recovered. I just do what I can so the Modern league is right for me. I didn't earn as much as I would like but I am still upgrading my reward and gladiator cards slowly each season.
