A space where you can share deep things and feel safe not judged? Bringggg.
I think more than anything, you learn as you grow in life to be more in tune with your emotions. You learn to sit down and speak to yourself about certain things when you don’t feel okay about it.
I think it’s worthwhile to be in touch with your feelings. Know when things are going wrong. Know when you’re not feeling right. Know when you need to retreat into your space, and more than anything, when you need to cry out. And actively seek for help.
For many of us who may not know how to cry for help with our words. To actively seek help by letting our voice be heard, we can do it through writing. And I love being in a space where I have the liberty to simply write.
As writers, we crave that haven. A platform where our souls can be set aflame, and we can see things anew in a better light. Where we can write without inhibitions. Where we can truly feel liberated each time we put our words in paper. I do not things there’s anything quite as invigorating as allowing the lines weave a tapestry for you. A tapestry that you can be proud of. Probably say, “Yeah, I did this.”
But what’s better than writing? A community where you are not judged for what you pen down. The bonds that are built from reading works from like-minded people cannot be compared to another. Because I do believe that we, as a people, are more similar than we realize. That most of us have a shared, maybe not childhood, maybe not experiences, but core memories that bind us in some form.
I feel we have the capability to truly utilize the global village that is the world we live in. I believe we have the capacity to find peace in community if we do it right. Or maybe I’m hoping too much. Maybe I believe deeply that humans no matter how rigid we try to project ourselves as, have a core that is filled with kindness and sympathy and love for one another. Maybe I still believe in the good of mankind.
Either way, writing as well as community is a personal journey. You call the shots, and you determine what happens and how said things happen. What to say and what not to. What to hold back and what to let loose. It’s all in our hands. But I implore you to reach into that core where wholesomeness resides and feed the flame, your flame, with it.
Like water and oil which they say are unable to mix, but with the right catalyst. The right motivation. The right stroke that is instigated at the right time, a world of possibilities. Beautiful possibilities are laid down before us. When I start getting too philosophical is when I know that I’ve now entered my element. Where all is set before me. And the portal is open to world unknown. And words of a deep sense that I can bring to life just by writing on it.
