Good morning hive family.
I'm here to show you how I made this straight bubu gown.
Here I have my Ankara fabric material, lining, baby lace, Zip, tape, chalk, Aiming gum, and my scissor .
First thing to do, I measure out my length from the full material and fold it by two, i ensure it gives me the size I want and measure and also fold the other side of the material and place the first one I cut on the other one and I give out one point five inches allowance for my zip for the back side and and I used my chalk to trace out the hand pit and shape then I cut it out.
After that I cut out the hand.
Then proceed to cut the lace for the design for the front part and for the hand.
I cut also cut the fabric by one point five inches for the design, fold it by two and iron it.
I started with the front part of the design by sewing the one point five inches fabric I cut on the lace, including for the hand.
After seeing the fabric on the lace this is how it looks.
After that I fixed the design on the fabric by using the aiming gum, placing it on the fabric then place the lace iron it to gum before sewing it.
Now after that I proceed to fix my lining for both side of the gown which is the front and back side.
This is the front.
The back side.
After all that I proceed to join the both side of the gown together, fix my hand, and finally here is the bubu gown ready to wear.
Thank you for stopping by to check on my post.
Enjoy the rest of your day
