Durante la dirección de Gensler, la CFTC presentó cargos contra cinco instituciones financieras, la cual resultó en más de $1.7 mil millones de dólares en multas corporativas.
Las expectativas sobre Gary Gensler surgen debido a que este tiene muchos conocimientos sobre las criptomonedas y cadenas de bloques, siendo éste profesor en la Sloan School of Management del MIT, ha impartido clases sobre blockchain, monedas digitales y otras tecnologías financieras. Entre los días 11 y 14 de enero, bitcoin hizo un empuje vertiginoso de $10.000 dólares en solo tres días, esto debido a la influencia que tuvo la decisión del entonces Presidente Electo Joe Biden, de nominar al cargo de la SEC a Gary Gensler.
Gensler se ha mostrado procripto desde una perspectiva reguladora y clara, ha respondido a preguntas como ¿Es una criptomoneda un valor?, a la que ha respondido “Son ambas cosas”, añadiendo que “Sé que esa no es una respuesta que le guste a mucha gente, pero eso es lo que tenemos ahora”.

Imagino el dibujo de grandes saltos en los indicadores gráficos de los próximos días, SEC, Grayscale, BlackRock, son temas a seguir. Toma las previsiones de esta criptocarrera que se avecina probablemente los veteranos bitcoin, ethereum y otros tomen la delantera o quizás tendremos descalificados por salidas en falso.
