We saw crypto go through its darkest phase in 2022, a lot of people quit to keep their mental health, a lot of people did because they couldn't risk further losses and some quit because they believed that crypto was indeed dead like many influencers were preaching on Twitter. Hard times make people stronger or softer, whatever the effect of hard times on a person, it doesn't truly define who they are.
There's a level of pressure everyone can individually take, and when this level is exceeded, this is when we begin to hit a melting point. I was a fan of action movies when I was a kid. I used to see where people were tortured so they could give off some piece of information thereby, compromising the people they're meant to protect. I used to ask myself, "Why not give up" why endure all the beating, the tooth pulling, the knife stab if they're going to give up the information at the end?
But it didn't make sense to me.
However, as an adult, I've come to learn that we endure the torture of hard times hoping it'll eventually get better. Thinking people should easily give up at the beginning if they're going to give up at the end was a testament to my childish thinking. I got to realize that tough times may get better, and enduring them might leave us beaten and battered. However, if people eventually give up before it gets better, it doesn't mean they've failed, it's just life, and we all give up when we reach a melting point.
It's an entirely different thing when it comes to crypto, even if the situation seems similar. In crypto, we call people who sell off because of FUD weak hands. It doesn't mean their persona is weak, it's just that we question their faith in the technology. We want them to stay a bit longer but they can't. Money and love are the two biggest emotional harbingers. Why? We become vulnerable when it comes to decisions regarding money and love. It's love that makes us mourn loved ones, bear the pain, and carry the guilt of loss. It's also money that takes away rationality.
Nobody is wired to be immune to the sentimentality of money and love
this is why we either become too greedy, too careful, too vulnerable, or compromised when it comes to these two. So we all have a breaking point, and sometimes life gives us money or love problems that shatter our melting point, this is why we deem some people to be weak, they're vulnerable when they reach their melting point.
We can be lucky, or not.
Some people have trained themselves to discipline themselves from getting overly emotional when it matters the most. This means that these people have naturally extended their mental elasticity. For everything we can currently do, we can actually do better, if we teach our mind and body to be more rigid than it naturally is. For crypto, the people who will benefit the most are the ones who will grow their stash for decades, through FUD and even more FUD it's a no-brainer.
Life favors the bold. Being bold doesn't mean no fear or temptations, it is being stronger than one's fears and temptations. At the end of the day, we can all be on par if life treats us equally, unfortunately, this is impossible. So do the best for yourself. The bull market is approaching again, so there's a possibility you'll miss out, why? Fear Disbelief, doubt, indiscipline and cluelessness No worries, you can try again, provided there's life.
