2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going
John 14:2-4
When we visit tourist centers, we are amazed by the beauty of the things we see. Surprising all these things we consider beautiful cannot be compared with what heaven can offer us. The scripture confirmed this when it says, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him".
Who will want to miss such a place?
Consider the supreme power of God who made the earth and everything in it just by mere words. Consider how beautiful His abode will be. Consider the type of joy that will be found in such a place. Consider a place where there will be no death, hunger, sickness, or any misfortune.
Consider spending eternity with the One whom the whole Earth is under.
In life, what is beautiful to us today, loses value in our sight the next day. Consider being in a place where the beauty of things around it grows with each passing day.
Can there exist anything imperfect where a perfect One resides?.
Heaven then is the superabundant reward for those who will like Saint Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7 says at the end of their life, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful". It is a place of resting for those who give in to penance for the salvation of their soul.
A place for those who do not allow the things of the world to control their actions. A place for those who understood that this world passes.
If those who are dead are given a second opportunity to come into the world, those who lived a bad life will spend the rest of their new life in penance and those who lived a good life will desire to do more good so that their glory in heaven will increase more. WE THAT STILL ALIVE, WHAT ARE WE DOING TO SAVE OUR SOULS?. Remember that after your death, you cannot grow in virtues again. what you are leaving this world with are your good deeds.
Remember God's mercy is surplus while you are still alive, His Justice takes over after your death. Remember that what is certain, is the fact that everyone will die. The time of death is not. It is better to prepare for death every day so that you won't be taken unaware.
In conclusion, we as humans are bound by our weak nature to fall into sin. But what is more important, is not falling into sin but the ability to rise when we fall . May the good Lord give us the grace to live a good life and die a happy death. Amen.
