After years of visiting several cafes and restaurants, what I really appreciate in terms of interior design is mostly the simple ones. The simpler, the better. And this I found it at Tamper Coffee & Brunch in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
My husband and I together with our little one came from Cebu, we traveled all the way from the port to Tubigon and then went on a land trip towards Tagbilaran City. We were attending our niece's graduation, actually, we just attended the dinner party because only two individuals were allowed to witness the event per student.
It was almost lunchtime when we arrived in the city and thought we must find a place to dine. I was craving some cold beverages too so we looked into Google Maps and checked the nearest cafe we could find. We spotted Tamper Coffee & Brunch. I liked its name so we gave it a go.

The hashtag team puti and team kahoy indeed won here. The interiors look really elegant with the combination of white and wood. I like that it has a high ceiling and the walls were mostly glass, making it possible for natural light to come in. The ceiling has this square patterns too and its counter has the simplest menu ever! It is just adjacent to its sister restaurant as well Just Sizzlin'.
While there were a few other customers when we arrived, I liked that it was calm and quiet inside. I immediately ordered lunch and I can't remember what I ordered but based on the photos I have here below, I believe I got both chicken options, however, their online menu doesn't seem to show a chicken option on their full sets.
It is still quite hard to dine at restaurants and cafes with a toddler though. Matti was so interested in so many things in the cafe that I can't sit well while eating. I have to go after him because he just can't stay in his seat. So the phone and cocomelon help, so the next time you go visit a restaurant and find a toddler watching videos on his table or phone, please don't judge the parents right away, you don't have an idea how hard they tried to keep the child still and have a peaceful meal.

I ordered a coffee-free beverage because I was thinking Matti might want to have a taste of my drinks and coffees as how he refers it are only for grown-ups.
He did ask for a few sips and loved this drink, the Choco Hazelnut smoothie.
While our drink was served first, I was waiting for our meal. I dislike it when drinks are given before the food, I hope restaurants can make it a point to get the drinks served only when the food is ready too because tendencies are, we will have the drinks first which changes our tastebuds for sure. Have you tried drinking sweet beverages first and then eating a meal? I am not sure if it's just me or if this is really applicable to all but the sweetness of the drink does something with our tastebuds.
This time, I had waited for our meal before having the smoothie. I was shocked though when I saw our sizzling plate, the rice serving was a lot! This was the first time that I have seen such serving in a cafe!

The fried chicken pops was ordered not to be spicy as I am giving it to my little one as well. It has a cole slaw on the side. The chicken teriyaki had been served with so many rice servings as well. I was assuming that both were cooked from the other restaurant, Just Sizzlin' as they were served in sizzling plates.
We still managed to eat everything, teehee. For me, the pricing was just right and reasonable and because the cafe has a neat and elegant ambiance with pretty fast internet connection, I had nothing to complain.
Tamper also sells coffee beans roasted in Bohol. I am glad to buy one kilo from them one time when we visited Tagbilaran City. One kilo of roasted coffee beans costs Php 1000+. So if you are in Tagbilaran City and is looking for a place to have a great brunch, coffee, and peaceful place, you might consider Tamper Coffee & Brunch.
