Sydnie turned, and there he stood. She giggled loudly and opened wide her arms. Into them, he jumped. Too heavy to carry, they both tumbled. Falling backward, Sydnie barely missed the pavement. Good thing the grass partially covered it, else both would have required a physician for heads wounds. She righted herself. Those glassy, orange eyes stared deeply into hers. She quicky named him "Temperate".
Sydnie always preferred four-legged animals. There wasn't a canine she ever met that didn't bring about a wide smile to her face. And, the animals felt the same about her.
Temperate ran in circles with Sydnie chasing him. He barked incessantly all the while smiling. Suddenly, he stopped and commenced acrobatic moves jumping a few feet off the ground. Sydnie could hardly contain her with laughter. She ran to fetch her parents to witness Temperate's amazing feats. He must be a circus dog, she thought.
Dashing to the front door, she yelled for her parents to see their new pet of all but ten minutes.
They all marveled at his thick, velvety brown coast and black eyebrows. Advising her to be cautious of the stray, she ignored them, laughing in delight at her unusual find. Her friends would be so jealous, she thought once she introduced him. She picked him up, cuddling him close. The love between them was already evident. Of that, she was certain. They rubbed noses.
Without warning, his soft fur thickened and felt hard to her touch. His hair coiled into twists, then transformed into a jade patch. Long strands began to grow in all directions, replacing the brown spots. Sydnie looked horrified as his body expanded to the point she could no longer carry his weight in her arms.
Temperate wiggled viciously and cried out. His entire body now encased in a round, hard shell, felt hot to her skin. Instinctively, she let go and allowed him to fall.
Standing there, his whiskers began to grow into a mass of tangled, jade hair. It matched the color of the two circular stands of hair on his head. Extending in opposite directions, the hair met under his chin like a beard. Large jade fur balls dangled underneath. The hair began to illuminate. An intense, pulsating noise hurt her ears. Unable to see and hear, Sydnie screamed and turned to run.
Seeking shelter next to her parents, she was crying profusely. Her arms now contained large, red whelps resembling burn marks. However, the marks were triangle shaped and was starting also to turn that strange jade color. It was obvious Sydnie was in intense pain.
Dad scooped her up in his arms. With mom in tow, they retreated to the house and locked the door. Within minutes, mom was on the phone to the local animal pound. Dad tended to Sydnie's arms while keeping watch near the window.
By the time the authorities arrived, Temperate had disappeared from their yard.

I enjoyed creating this story from the pure fractal. The jade color, I feel, set the tone for the boldness of the image designed in Apophysis 2.09. Singularly, the image was awesome with the jade color. However, I couldn't visualize its potential until I blended it in Canva. Duplicating the fractal allowed the image of the canine to emerge.

Adding eyes and hair was completed utilizing two other fractal art designs I created during this drawing session.

The colors turned out beautifully with the light and dark jade. The maroon color enhanced the vision of an animal. I feel the combination worked well together. The thing is with fractals I've found is that their true beauty shines when rendered on a black black ground. I think blending all three fractals worked well for producing the image of a canine.
I hope you like my Fractal art project.
