This will sound absurd when I say scammers are helping our community, knowing fully well the advert effect they have tend to pose and even committed in our community. For some, it might sound like a shock but I know everyone would be curious to read my thoughts as to why I decided to write on this article.
Before I state my view I will like us to deeply look into the word "scam" or as some like to call it Fraud. But whatever way you put it, before anyone can say I have been scammed it means someone outsmarted or outplayed you for something you own which everyone sees to be bad. Looking at it from a different perspective there was a time majority of the world population saw "abortion" as something bad or worth going to jail for, but today the topic of abortion stands up as a topic for debate for whatever reason it may have. Gay is another very interesting topic that currently is been accepted by a majority and another part of the majority finds it still as a topic for debate.
My point is this, as the world evolves it's very easy to make people accept your school of thought as long as you have a strong reason to back it up. It seems to me that people no longer know what to believe anymore thus believing anything that has a nice anchor with strong reasons to back it up. I have also realized that the majority of the reasons all these once thought vices are no longer condemned are anchored on the greed of man. Everyone is looking for what makes them happy and when they begin to find happiness in this vices, the intelligent ones begin to not just make others see what they see, but try to make them feel what they feel by feeding on their greed as well and bringing the what has once thought as a social vice a solution or a way to find happiness.
So someone could say "Scammers are helping our community" and bring up a strong notion to back it up of which if one person succeeds in encrypting such notion into a school of thought it's only a matter of time before you find the world debating about it and before you know it, it becomes generally accepted as a law.
Personally, the only help I see scammers giving to our community is the technical know-how in the advancement of tech securities opening us to the reality of our capability so we can continue to improve on ourselves. So many wouldn't have acquired that skill bringing in a good source of income if not for scammers. the security industry for example wouldn't develop high technologies to fight fraudsters if not for ordinary tech developers who learned a skill the community is benefiting from.
NOTE: I'm not supporting any action of the topics I highlighted nor am I discriminating or criticizing, I'm however bringing to note the reality of the media in affecting people's minds, and also stating how humans have always found ways in conquering anything that poses as a treat.
