Hello, everyone!🙌
Currently, I don't own a pet, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to own one yet, but I do fantasize about pets and their owners being all lovey-dovey, seeing them talk to their pets and them responding like humans. I just keep imagining that...
I remember a day when I was on a call with Wongi, and before I knew it, she began to talk to someone outside the phone. I patiently waited for her to finish, and when she was done, I asked her who owned the baby she was talking to. She laughed and said it's her pet, a dog. That's so lovely!
Early last year, I had an awful experience involving a pet and its owner, and every time I think about it, I get a migraine.
Here's what happened:
My boss bought two sets of baby dogs. They were very tender, and he said he was going to train them to become big to be a part of the security of his new house. Oh yeah, he recently moved into his new house and has all the space to train and harbor pets.
Everything was going well. Many times I would see him go to eateries to get food for the dogs, I mean remnants such as bones from leftover foods. I would also see him go to the veterinary to get some medications to give them all the attention and care they need. All this lasted until one day, about six months later, I went to his house and I didn't see the dogs come out barking. I asked him where the dogs were, and he smiled and kept quiet.
I asked again, and he sat down and began to narrate all he went through with the dogs. According to him, the dogs refused to grow despite the constant feeding and medication, and also, they were growing lice on their bodies, which he was seeing inside his house. He got sick and left with no option but to do away with the dogs because he was tired.
What did he do with the dogs? Read on.
I suggested that maybe the breed of the dogs is not the type that grows up suddenly, that he could have given them more time before letting go, but he said the breed is the one that grows up easily and assumed maybe the dogs were infected somehow.
Like I said earlier, I don't own a pet, and I find it hard to fathom how pet owners cope with pets they don't like, like the situation with my boss.
- Do you sell it off,
- Gift it to someone,
- Let it wander off on the street?
Which pattern do you use?
I think selling it off is a bit good, and also gifting it to someone who would want to have it is very okay, but letting it wander off on the street is something I don't find okay. There are a lot of dangers out there, and anything can happen to it when let out.
That's what my boss did; he dropped the dogs in an unknown area and let them wander off. It's painful to think about, and how they've been surviving. I just hope someone found them and took them in as theirs.
