Hey there friends.

Hope you're doing well on this fine, hot ass Friday. At least, it's incredibly hot where I am. I don't know about you, but I am always chasing some made gains when it comes to crypto. Whether it be just pure staking rewards, yield farming, or just simply liquidity mining. Honestly, I don't care what it is if I can get a high yield with minimal fees. The minimal fees piece is key as yield farming usually requires quite a few transactions to even get started. Let me be the bad guy and say this: If you are using Ethereum for yield farming, I am sorry for your loss. Unless you're working with shitloads of money you're going to be eaten alive by gas fees for these complex transactions. The beautiful thing is, you can yield farm with different blockchains like Harmony. Harmony is perfect for DeFi because the fees are usually 0.001 ONE, which equates to less than a penny. I wrote about Harmony and how to get started with it in Crypto Noobs #2 here. In order to yield farm, you should follow the directions in that post to get a wallet set up and Metamask configured. Once you've done that, grab your overalls and hat cause it's time to get farming.

Step 1:

Head over to SushiSwap and check out the Farms page. SushiSwap is currently the best yield farming solution for Harmony. There aren't a ton of pairs, but the ones that are available are some of my favorites. The yields are pretty damn good without being completely insane. I generally lean toward pairs with a stable coin included like BUSD.

Step 2:

Once you have decided on a pair to Farm, you'll need to get some LP tokens to stake. I assume at this point that you already have some ONE to swap. To do this, head to the Swap tab to swap ONE for the 2 tokens you wish to Farm. You'll need an equivalent amount of each token. For this example, I swapped 75 ONE for 0.101679 AXS and 75 ONE for 0.00221633 ETH to farm the 1AXS/1ETH pair. I know, it's like $15 but this is just an example.

Step 3:

Now we need to provide liquidity to the AXS/ETH pool so click on Liquidity and switch to this pair. You'll need to approve each token so click Approve and confirm both transactions in Metamask.

Step 4:

Confirm adding your liquidity. Confirm transaction in Metamask. You'll get a pop up once the transaction goes through. It's normally almost instant.

Step 5:

Get to farming. Click back over to the Farms tab and click on your pair. For my case, it's 1AXS/1ETH. Then click Max, and Approve. Remember when I mentioned that this would be a lot of transactions? You would have gotten murdered with fees on Ethereum.

Step 6:

Click Stake and wait for the pop up to confirm your transaction.

Step 7:

Sit back, relax, and enjoy watching your Farm rake in money. This particular Farm yields 192%. Not too shabby. Harvest whenever you want because fees are less than a penny.
