Hello and welcome to this weeks LBI Holdings and Income report. LBI is a pooled investment token based on HIVE with a range of assets backing its token. Each LBI token represents a share of the assets, and the value of that share is published daily on inleo.io as a thread. All you have to do is check our profile page to find the most recent "Asset backed Value" for the token.
LBI came under new management last year, and we are working on raising its profile, converting it into a token that shares a portion of its income each week with token holders, while also selecting investments to maximize growth. LBI's roots are firmly planted in the @spinvest ethos of "get rich slowly". We don't chase amazing returns and massive gains, we look for solid investments, long term growth and the magic of compounding.
Well, another week is in the books - I can't believe it is already 40 weeks since we relaunched LBI. Lets dive in and see how this week has been.

@lbi-token wallet
Steady week for this wallet. We gained 56 HP over the week, which is about average. The Dollar value gave back most of last weeks gains overall. The only real change here is I sold a few GIFU (just our earnings from the delegation) and have added to the BEE position. Really keen to grow this after getting the first weeks payout for the BEE delegation to @bee.voter. The APR is very good, and building this up could add a nice weekly income stream for us.
I've decided to end the GIFU and BRO delegations at this time. GIFU has been flat for a while, and I think our 5 million is a good amount to hold for the long term, to see what happens with the project. BRO is ok, but it is low yield and I'm not convinced the price is sustainable. With it's last financials showing its asset backing around 1 HIVE each, I'm not real sure what makes it worth 4-5 HIVE to be honest. Anyway, the strength is the community and the network in their discord, and I'll hold on to our 150 BRO long term. I'll keep us with a foot in that door in case Ray's grand visions do come to fruition at some point.
@lbi-leo wallet.
Our number two wallet this week, by a tiny amount ($10) is the LEO wallet. It is generating a reliable 30-35 LEO per day, which gets split 3 ways. Slowly, our LEO and HP positions grow over time with this wallet. Our side quest with this wallet is to grow our LEO per LBI ratio over time, and it is slowly growing.
This ignores everything we own aside from LEO stake, for the LEO maxi's among the LBI holder list.
@lbi-eds wallet.
Wallet 3 by size (just) is our reliable EDS wallet. As usual, we grow by 20 EDSI for the week. The extra above that 20 (this week we grew by25ish) gets sold and swapped into EDSD. Not alot to say about this wallet as it just keeps doing exactly what it is meant to do.
@lbi-dab wallet.
Feels like the DAB project is a bit stale at the moment. RUG isn't doing great price wise, and while it still mints DBOND at a decent APR, some news or updates would be nice. Sold some DAB (at around 1.25) and bought some DBONDS (at around 0.90) over the week. Moving forward, I'll probably do similar to the EDS wallet - let the DAB balance grow by 20 each week, and then sell anything above that to put back into DBOND and more growth.
@lbi-pwr wallet.
Up a touch in HIVE terms over the week. I did pull a little out to buy some BEE for the token wallet this week, but the growth and a little price increase have balanced that out. Likely to increase the token wallet's delegation to boost this wallets growth - I don't see much else around HIVE that is particularly interesting for delegations at the moment. PWR's shift in focus to off chain assets suits LBI really. It gives us some exposure to the broader crypto markets (similar to our RUG position) without me having to personally manage it. I'd like LBI to have off-chain holdings, but am happy to outsource the admin to capable and trustworthy people like SSUK and Empoderat in these cases.
Totals
We come to our totals for the week, and can see we are right back around our average of $20500 in USD terms. It feels like not a lot has changed over the 40 weeks since I took over, in terms of total value of the fund. However, I think we have put the pieces in place for long term, sustainable growth in the years ahead.
Income report.
We hit the 1000 mark again, and maintain our yield at around 2.8% for another week. I'd like to push it up over 3%, which is still not a lot I know, but not bad for what is primarily a growth token. The best way to boost the yield you get out of LBI is to get the tokens in the pool, where they double dip and earn APR from the pool and still earn the dividend. Income from our various sources is fairly reliable, with BXT, PWR and HBD earnings from posting topping us up to the 1000 mark each week. LEO is steady but it's important to remember that this amount is only 1/3 of that wallets actual income, the other 2/3 get compounded. DAB income is down a bit as I sold some. Overall a steady week, and any week we hit the 1000 is a good week in my books.
Here is how that income gets split up. 409 LEO has gone out as this weeks dividends, and the same has been reinvested back into the fund. I've earned 76.767 LEO for my work as admin, worth a huge $1.23. Luckily I see it as a hobby, not something I really expect to make a living off, so its all good.
50 LEO gone to fund the liquidity pool rewards and another 4.117 LBI burned for the week.
Conclusion.
Week 40 for this new version of LBI is in the books. We are in a phase where the big positions are all set up and running smoothly now, and most of what I am doing is tinkering around the edges. Primary targets for the coming weeks are to build up our BEE position (and delegation, and keep an eye out for new things we may like to get in to. I may use some of the HP from un-delegating to GIFU and BRO to fill some leases on the HE lease page and use that to boost income a bit. Or it may just go into more PWR delegation.
