Hello there Friends, Happy Monday evening - and thank you for your visit!
This is post number 27 in the #cyclingcommunity, and this week it will be another "low milage week". The weather is pretty bad here and has been for about 5 days. I went out Sunday and quickly realized that the "wind" can blow around the front wheel - a lot!
That's 31 miles per hour, or 49.88 kilometers per hour!
So my miles / kilometers are down, but way ahead of last year at this time, so...
Let's take a look and see where I am at!
Also... The bikes have had some "improvements" to get ready for the year - decided that after I get in the last parts (this week sometime) I will make a post dedicated to the changes, however... You may be able to spot a few now,
So here we go!
For this week this is where the numbers are,
The Black bike:
This Monday at 34.597 miles / 55.67 kilometers
An increase of,
9.438 miles / 15.18 kilometers
And,
The Green bike:
This Monday at 12.268 miles / 19.743 kilometers
An increase of,
2.109 miles / 3.39 kilometers
So this puts the weekly total at,
6.56 miles / 10.55 kilometers (total) for the week as well - "low miles"!
This puts the total for 2025 at,
46.865 miles / 75.42 kilometers so far this year!
A "Very" low milage week for sure, but still, way ahead of the 8.5 miles / 13.67 kilometers for January last year!
And an obvious surprise, as I can't hide this one...
The Black bike has a new seat / saddle! The old one (since 2010) had finally began to split around the bottom in the back. Since the stuffing was becoming visible I had to do something! Also, the right side (due to my wallet, no doubt) had somewhat less padding than the right so sometimes it was like riding on the rails, so... I spent some time researching seats on the Internet and decided on this "Roadmaster". It dresses up the bike, and is stiff, no doubt, but... It feels like it makes the bike faster - which could be due to sitting level!

A definite improvement!
I have a few more surprises coming, and will update later in the week for sure, one is "Huge"!
