Change in End Of Season Glint Reward + My Card Collection Optimization: Sell and Buy!
On Splinterlands, season number 132 is underway and will end in about 5 days.
The current season has a shorter duration than the previous ones because it started on April 2 and will end on April 15 for a total duration of 13 days instead of the usual 15 days.
The reason for this shorter duration was the need to have the season start at the same time as the introduction of the new Reward System.
The new Reward System has eliminated daily focuses and daily and seasonal rewards in chests.
The new Ranked System introduced GLINT tokens (in-game non-transferable tokens) and the Reward Shop

I still do not have much data to evaluate the effects of the new Reward System on my in-game results and the effects on my in-game rewards and will make this evaluation at the end of the current season when I have more elements to compare.
In the meantime I continue to accumulate GLINT tokens with the goal of buying as many Draws as possible because I would like to improve my game results and increasing the level of my Soulbound legendary cards would come in very handy in battle.
A few hours ago a change was made to the formula for calculating the end-of-season reward in GLINT, and this change was announced and explained with a message in the Splinterlands discord channel (see screenshot below).
My game goals this season are two:
- end the season at least in Gold League I.
- accumulate at least 50K GLINT to purchase 10 Master Draw.
So far I have accumulated 10144 GLINT but I have also spent 1500 GLINT in the reward shop and so based on the recent change to the end-of-season reward calculation formula I have a potential end-of-season reward = 23556 GLINT, amount of GLINT tokens that will increase if I improve my game results.
To improve my game results and to also improve my gain in GLINT tokens and SPS tokens I must continue to increase the battle strength of my card collection usable in Modern Format which is the format I play in because I like to play only against real players like me and not against bots!
To increase the battle strength of my card collection I have long followed an optimization strategy that consists of:
- sell cards that I do not use in battle
- buying cards that I consider useful in battle.
In my collection of cards that can be used in Modern Format I have:
- 7 maximum level summoners
- 20 maximum level common cards
- 27 maximum level rare cards
- 7 epic cards of maximum level
- 20 legendary cards of maximum level
In the past 9 days I have sold many cards and increased the amount of DEC tokens in my possession that I can use to acquire more cards.
I also sold a Rebellion legendary Gold Foil card: Nalara Geinek
I chose to sell Nalara Geinek Gold Foil because I have the higher level regular version that I use in battles and because with the profit I got from the sale I can buy more cards.
Thanks to the sale of Nalara Geinek Gold Foil, I received 156K DEC which added to the DEC I had in my in-game wallet and now I have 375K DEC to reinvest in purchasing cards.
In today's post I share some of my purchase/upgrade goals.
The first card I decided to purchase is Mantaroth.
Mantaroth is a card I really like and I would like to add level 4 (max level) Mantaroth to my card collection but Mantaroth has a very high cost per BCX and to buy 11 BCX you need to spend 385$.
For now, I am content to try to buy 1 BCX of Mantaroth because already at level 1 Mantaroth can be useful to me in High mana battles that have precise battle rules.
I have decided to place the best purchase offer ($30.01) via the Make Bid feature of Peakmonsters and hope some seller will accept it.
Today I decided to upgrade to the highest level two ranged attack cards that I often use in low mana battles because they both have a cost in mana = 2:
- Igor Darkspear: level 4 -> level 6
- Acid Shooter: level 4 -> level 6
In the next image you can see a battle in which I used Igor Darkspear of level 4.
Igor Darkspear in the transition from level 4 to level 6 gains +1 life point and +1 attack point and becomes an even more useful card especially in low mana battles that have precise rulesets such as the Heavy Hitters ruleset
Acid Shooter in the transition from level 4 to level 6 acquires +1 life point and the Poison ability
Acid Shooter and Igor Darkspear are two relatively low-cost upgrades, and for both of these two upgrade targets of mine, I have chosen the BID purchase offer as the mode of purchase.
Regarding upgrades of cards of the Rebellion set today I chose as my upgrade goal Great Porcupine: level 1 -> level 6
The motivation for my choice is very simple:
- it only costs 3 mana
- it has a ranged attack = 3
- it can also attack from the first position (close range ability)
- it is the only card with ranged attack that can be used in Modern Format that has the Thorns ability.
Again, I am in no hurry to immediately complete this upgrade goal of mine and have made a bid purchase.
In the next days I will continue to place more BIDs because I have other purchase/upgrade goals that I would like to achieve but I will stop here for this post.

Cambio nella formula della ricompensa di fine stagione in GLINT + L'ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte!
Su Splinterlands è in corso la stagione numero 132 che terminerà tra circa 5 giorni.
La stagione in corso ha una durata inferiore alle precedenti perchè è iniziata il 2 aprile e ternuberà il 15 aprile per un totale di 13 giorni di durata invece che gli usuali 15 giorni.
Il motivo di questa durata inferiore è stata la necessità di far iniziare la stagione contestualmente all'introduzione del nuovo Reward System.
Il nuovo Reward System ha eliminato i daily focus e le daily and seasonal rewards in chests
Il nuovo Ranked System ha introdotto i token GLINT (in-game token non trasferibili) e il Reward Shop
Io ancora non ho molti elementi per valutare gli effetti del nuovo Reward System sui miei risultati di gioco e gli effetti sulle mie riconpense di gioco e farò questa valutazione alla fine della stagione in corso quando avrò più elementi da confrontare.
Nel frattempo continuo ad accumulare i token GLINT con l'obiettivo di acquistare più Draws possibili perchè mi piacerebbe migliorare i miei risultati di gioco e aumentare il livello delle mie carte Soulbound leggendarie mi tornerebbe molto utile in battaglia.
Poche ore fa è stata apportata una modifica alla formula per il calcolo della ricompensa di fine stagione in GLINT e questa modifica è stata annunciata e spiegata con un messaggio nel canale discord di Splinterlands (vedi screenshot seguente).
I miei obiettivi di gioco in questa stagione sono due:
- terminare la stagione almeno in lega Gold I
- accumulare almeno 50K GLINT per acquistare 10 Master Draw.
Fino ad oggi ho accumulato 10144 GLINT ma ho anche speso 1500 GLINT nel reward shop e quindi in base alla recente modifica alla formula del calcolo della ricompensa di fine stagione ho una potenziale ricompensa di fine stagione = 23556 GLINT, quantitativo di token GLINT che aumenterà se migliorerò i miei risultati di gioco.
Per migliorare i miei risultati di gioco e per migliorare di conseguenza anche il mio guadagno in token GLINT e in token SPS devo continuare ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte utilizzabile nel Modern Format che è il formato in cui gioco perchè mi piace giocare solo contro i giocatori reali come me e non contro i bots!
Per aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte seguo da molto tempo una strategia di ottimizzazione che consiste nel:
- vendere le carte che non uso in battaglia
- acquistare carte che considero utili in battaglia
Nella mia collezione di carte utilizzabili nel Modern Format ho:
- 7 evocatori di massimo livello
- 20 carte comuni di massimo livello
- 27 carte rare di livello massimo
- 7 carte epiche di massimo livello
- 20 carte leggendarie di massimo livello
Negli ultimi 9 giorni ho venduto molte carte e ho aumentato il quantitativo di token DEC in mio possesso che posso utilizzare per acqusitare altre carte.
Ho venduto anche una carta Rebellion leggendaria Gold Foil: Nalara Geinek
Ho scelto di vendere Nalara Geinek Gold Foil perchè ho la versione regular di livello superiore che uso nelle battaglie e perchè con il guadagno che ho ottenuto dalla vendita posso acquistare altre carte.
Grazie alla vendita di Nalara Geinek Gold Foil ho ricevuto 156K DEC che si sono aggiunti ai DEC che avevo nel mio in-game wallet e adesso ho 375K DEC da reinvestire nell'acquisto di carte.
Nel post di oggi condivido alcuni miei obiettivi di acquisto/upgrade.
La prima carta che ho deciso di acquistare è Mantaroth.
Mantaroth è una carta che mi piace molto e mi piacerebbe aggiungere Mantaroth di livello 4 (max level) alla mia collezione di carte ma Mantaroth ha un costo per BCX molto alto e per acquistare 11 BCX è necessario spendere 385$.
Per il momento mi accontento di provare ad acquistare 1 BCX di Mantaroth perchè già al livello 1 Mantaroth può essermi utile nelle High mana battles che hanno precise regole di battaglia.
Ho deciso di piazzare la migliore offerta di acquisto (30.01$) tramite la funzionalità Make Bid di Peakmonsters e spero che qualche venditore la accetti.
Oggi ho deciso di fare l'upgrade al massimo livello di due carte con attacco dalla distanza che uso spesso nelle low mana battles perchè hanno entrambe un costo in mana = 2:
- Igor Darkspear: level 4 -> level 6
- Acid Shooter: level 4 -> level 6
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere una battaglia in cui ho utilizzato Igor Darkspear di livello 4.
Igor Darkspear nel passaggio dal livello 4 al livello 6 acquisisce +1 punto vita e +1 punto di attacco e diventa una carta ancora più utile soprattutto nelle low mana battles che hanno precise ruleset come ad esempio la ruleset Heavy Hitters
Acid Shooter nel passaggio dal livello 4 al livello 6 acquisisce +1 punto vita e l'abilità Poison
Acid Shooter e Igor Darkspear sono due upgrades a costo relativamente contenuto e per entrambi questi miei due obiettivi di upgrade ho scelto come modalità di acquisto l'offerta di acquisto BID.
Per quanto riguarda gli upgrade delle carte del set Rebellion ho scelto come mio obiettivo di upgrade Great Porcupine: livello 1 -> livello 6
La motivazione della mia scelta è molto semplice:
- costa solo 3 mana
- ha un attacco ranged = 3
- può attaccare anche dalla prima posizione (close range ability)
- è l'unica carta con attacco ranged utilizzabile nel Modern Format che ha l'abilità Thorns
Anche in questo caso non ho fretta di completare immediatamente questo mio obiettivo di upgrade e ho fatto un'offerta di acquisto BID.
Nei prossimi giorni continuerò a piazzare altre offerte di acquisto BID perchè ho altri obiettivi di acquisto/upgrade che vorrei raggiungere ma per questo post mi fermo qui.
