Discovery Hive's second-level tokens with libertycrypto27: Focus on PIMP: Use Cases, Market Value and My Accumulation Goal
The Hive blockchain has two main tokens, HIVE and HBD, and then there is the Hive Power (HP) which is obtained by staking HIVE tokens: 1 HP = 1 HIVE staked.
Hive has many utilities and among them is the ability to create, buy, sell or transfer a second-level token.
There are many second-level tokens and all are manageable by one of Hive's second-level token dexes such as:
My main goal on the Hive blockchain is to grow as fast as possible by increasing the amount of Hive Power (HP) I possess but I also like to accumulate second-level tokens and my preference is almost always on tokens that have many use cases such as the PIMP token that is the topic of this post.
What is the Pimp token

The operations that can be executed with the PIMP token are 5:
- Transfer
- Stake

Use cases
The Pimp token has so many use cases because in addition to the operations I listed above:
- it is a community token
- it is a dividend token
- it is a tip token
- it is a Defi token
Community Token
The PIMP token is a community token because if you include the tag #pimp in one of your posts, your post will be displayed not only on https://hive.blog/ but also on the website of PIMP which is PIMP.MEDIA: https://pimp.media/
If your post receives a vote from a Hive user who has staked PIMP tokens you will earn PIMP tokens after seven days of publishing your post.
The PIMP token follows the same curation mechanism as on Hive, 50% curator/50% author with the difference that on Pimp Media only the reward in PIMP tokens is displayed instead of HP and HBD.
For example in my last post published on Hive I used the #pimp tag.

Dividend Token
The PIMP token is also a dividend token because it distributes rewards to the top 200 PIMP stakeholders.
In the top four positions are @nathanmars, biglove, tokenpimp and dynamicrypto
In the 200 position is @nautist with 1055.28 staked PIMPs, and so to enter the top 200 you need to exceed this amount of staked PIMP tokens.
I, who have 9876.50 staked PIMPs, am in position 62 of the ranking and receive a daily reward that consists of several tokens.
In the following screenshots you can see the latest daily reward I received from the @tokenpimp account
Today I calculated the HIVE and dollar value of the reward I received today.
For each token I received I considered its Highest Bid value.
A daily reward worth 0.13 HIVE = $0.042 is in my opinion a very good reward considering that it is a reward I obtain completely passively.
Tip Token
The Pimp token is also a Tip token because it can be sent via the !PIMP command in a comment on Hive.
Those who have 1000 staked PIMPs can send 1 command per day and reward a Hive author with 1 PIMP and at the same time reward themselves with 1 PIMP as well.
In the screenshot below you can see the table with the requirements to use the !PIMP command.
DeFi Token
The PIMP token is also a DeFi token because it can be placed as liquidity in three Diesel Pools.
Market Value
Today, October 7, 2023 1 PIMP has a value of:
- 0.04031100 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0127152 (Highest BID)
- 0.04140000 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0130587 (Lowest Ask)

My Accumulation Goal
I've been using the pimp tag in my posts for a long time and I honestly can't remember exactly how long but the PIMP token is a token that I like because it has many use cases and I will continue to use the pimp tag and continue to accumulate PIMP tokens and stake them.
With 9876.5 PIMP staked I am very close to reaching the 10K PIMP staked threshold that will allow me to be able to send two !PIMP commands per day.
I am also using the STELLARUM:PIMP and PIMP:THGAMING pools.
When I reach 10K PIMP staked I will use 50% of the excess PIMP tokens to increase my shares in the PIMP:THGAMING pool and the other 50% to reach 20K PIMP staked.
With this post I hope I have also given useful information to those who have asked me in the past about how Hive's second level tokens work such as @robibasa and the PIMP token having many use cases is a good example to show what is possible with a Hive second level token.

Se il tuo post riceverà un voto da un utente di Hive che ha dei token PIMP staked guadagnerai dei token PIMP dopo sette giorni dalla pubblicazione del tuo post.
Il token PIMP segue lo stesso meccanismo di curation che c'è su Hive, 50% curatore/50% autore con la differenza che su Pimp Media viene visualizzata solo la ricompensa in PIMP token invece di HP e HBD.

Nella posizione 200 c'è @nautist con 1055.28 PIMP staked e quindi per entrare nella top 200 è necessario superare questo quantitativo di token PIMP staked.
Io che ho 9876.50 PIMP staked sono nella posizione 62 della classifica e ricevo una ricompensa giornaliera che è composta da diversi token.
Nei due screenshots seguenti puoi vedere l'ultima ricompensa giornaliera che ho ricevuto dall'account @tokenpimp
Mi sono divertito a calcolare il valore in HIVE e in dollari della ricompensa che ho ricevuto oggi.
Per ogni token che ho ricevuto ho considerato il suo valore Highest Bid.
Una ricompensa giornaliera del valore di 0.13 HIVE = 0.042$ mi sembra un ottima ricompensa considerando che è una ricompensa che ottengo in modo completamente passivo.
Tip Token
Il token Pimp è anche un Tip token perchè può essere inviato tramite il comando !PIMP in un commento su Hive.
Chi ha 1000 PIMP staked può inviare 1 comando al giorno e ricompensare con 1 PIMP un autore di Hive e allo stesso tempo ricompensare anche se stessi con 1 PIMP.
Nello screenshot seguente puoi vedere la tabella con i requisiti per utilizzare il comando !PIMP.
DeFi Token
Il token PIMP è anche un DeFi token perchè può essere immesso come liquidità in tre Diesel Pools.

My Accumulation Goal
E' tanto tempo che utilizzo il tag pimp nei miei post e sinceramente non ricordo con precisione da quanto tempo ma il token PIMP è un token che mi piace perchè ha molti casi d'uso e continuerò ad accumularli.
Con 9876.5 PIMP staked sono molto vicino al raggiungimento della soglia di 10K PIMP staked che mi permetterà di poter inviare due comandi !PIMP al giorno.
Io ho utilizzato il token PIMP anche come coppia di tokens nelle pools STELLARUM:PIMP e PIMP:THGAMING
Quando avrò raggiunto i 10K PIMP staked utilizzerò il 50% dei token PIMP eccedenti per aumentare il mio shares nella pool PIMP:THGAMING e l'altro 50% per raggiungere i 20K PIMP staked.
