The effects of land update 1.75 on my plots production
+ Why I chose not to make the SPS claim from my Shard Mine
Today at 8:33 p.m. Splinterlands introduced three new features including the lands functioning update (Land 1.75 Update).

The previous season, season 154, was the first season to have three Ranked Play type game modes because the new Survival Mode was added to the long-established Wild Format and Modern Format game modes.

In this post I show the effect of the update to Land version 1.75 on my plots production and why I chose not to make the SPS token claim from my Shard Mine.
I postpone a more in-depth focus on Land Phase 1.75 to a future post of mine.
I have 3 land plots:
- 1 plot of type Plains
- 1 plot of type Hills
- 1 plot of type Forest.
Before the 1.75 update, land plots could only produce Grain, SPS and Research.
I have two plots that produced Grain and one plot that produced SPS.
I had set up my production to be self-sufficient.
In fact, my grain production was higher than the total cost in grain required by my worker cards.
After this update, the production of my plots will change and each of my plots will be able to produce an amount of resources based on the plot type.
This means that my Forest type plot that previously produced Grain will now only be able to produce Wood.
Production conversion by terrain type is now automatic but only after the first claim.
Today I went to the Harvest All section and clicked on Claim Grain.
Immediately after the claim I received a message informing me that the production of my Hills and Forest type land plots had been transformed.
Now my plot of type Forest produces Wood and my plot of type Hills produces Stone.
I have a plot of type Plains that produces SPS for which, prior to Phase 1.75, I only had to incur a cost in Grain to make the claim.
Now, after the update, to make the claim of SPS tokens I have to incur a cost in Grain, Wood, Stone and Iron.
I have 169.59K Grain in my in-game wallet and could convert some of my Grain into the resources I need to make the claim of 5.17 SPS (5.817 SPS - 0.646 SPS Tax)
But I decided not to do this operation and I will explain why.
5.17 SPS can be converted to 38.92 DEC
To make the claim of 5.17 SPS I have to spend:
- 3213.36 GRAIN = 49.59 DEC
- 1606.91 WOOD = 572.07 DEC
- 642.76 STONE = 3238.63 DEC
- 160.69 IRON = 1842.87 DEC
**So to make the claim of 5.17 SPS (=38.92 DEC) I would have to spend swappable resources worth 5703.16 DEC?
I think it is much better to sell the resources at this time!
The new resources have very high convertible values to DEC at this time and for this reason I prefer not to make the SPS token claim from my plot but change the production of my plot worksite from SPS to GRAIN.
In 24 hours I will have GRAIN production instead of SPS production, but with the profit I will receive from selling resources I can buy more SPS or I can accumulate DEC to reinvest in the new set of cards when it is released.

In questo post mostro l'effetto dell'aggiornamento alla versione 1.75 delle Land sui miei plots e il perchè ho scelto di non fare il claim dei token SPS dalla mia Shard Mine.
Rimando ad un mio prossimo post un focus più approfondito sulla Land Phase 1.75.
Io ho 3 land plots:
- 1 plot di tipo Plains
- 1 plot di tipo Hills
- 1 plot di tipo Forest
Prima dell'aggiornamento 1.75 i land plots potevano produrre solo Grain, SPS e Research.
Io avevo due plot che producevano Grain e un plot che produceva SPS.
Avevo impostato la mia produzione in modo che la mia produzzione fosse autosufficiente.
Infatti la mia produzione di grano era superiore al costo totale in grano richiesto dalle mie worker cards.
Dopo questo aggiornamento la produzione dei miei plots cambierà e ogni mio plot potrà produrre un quantitativo di risorse in base alla tipologia di terreno.
Questo vuol dire che il mio plot di tipo Forest che prima produceva Grain adesso potrà produrre solo Wood.
La conversione della produzione in base al tipo del terreno è adesso automatica ma solo dopo il primo claim.
Oggi sono andato nella sezione Harvest All e ho cliccato su Claim Grain.
Subito dopo il claim ho ricevuto un messaggio che mi ha informato dell'avvenuta trasformazione della produzione dei miei land plots di tipo Hills e Forest.
Adesso il mio plot di tipo Forest produce Wood e il mio plot di tipo Hills produce Stone.
Ho un plot di tipo Plains che produce SPS per il quale, prima della fase 1.75, dovevo sostenere solo un costo in Grain per fare il claim.
Adesso, dopo l'aggiornamento, per fare il claim dei token SPS devo sostenere un costo in Grain, Wood, Stone e Iron.
Ho 169.59K Grain nel mio in-game wallet e potrei convertire una parte del mio Grain nelle risorse che mi servono per fare il claim di 5.17 SPS (5.817 SPS - 0.646 SPS Tax)
Ma ho deciso di non fare questa operazione e ti spiego il motivo.
5.17 SPS possono essere convertiti in 38.92 DEC
Per fare il claim di 5.17 SPS devo spendere:
- 3213.36 GRAIN = 49.59 DEC
- 1606.91 WOOD = 572.07 DEC
- 642.76 STONE = 3238.63 DEC

Quindi per fare il claim di 5.17 SPS (=38.92 DEC) dovrei spendere risorse swappabili per un valore di 5703.16 DEC?
Penso sia molto meglio vendere le risorse in questo momento!
Le nuove risorse hanno valori convertibili in DEC molto alti in questo momento e per questo motivo preferisco non fare il claim dei token SPS dal mio plot ma cambiare la produzione del mio plot worksite da SPS in GRAIN.
Fra 24 ore avrò una produzione di GRAIN invece di una produzione di SPS ma con il guadagno che riceverò vendendo le risorse potrò acquistare più SPS oppure potrò accumulare DEC da reinvestire nel nuovo set di carte quando sarà rilasciato.
