Una palabra muy usada en las décadas pasadas es aplicada por una gran minoría.
Una de las causas de las grandes problemáticas de esta sociedad actual es la falta de empatía, los problemas familiares, de amistades, de estudios, de trabajo, y de todas las relaciones interpersonales que podamos tener son causadas por la ausencia de la empatía.
¡Cuán difícil es ser empático en estos tiempos! Cada persona lucha por la defensa de su "verdad absoluta", cada quien cree tener la razón, ya nadie cede, nadie da a torcer su brazo, el orgullo arropa a las personas. Cada quien vive en su mundo, cada quien quiere que todo rote alrededor de ellos.

Es más fácil juzgar a los demás, que ser comprensivos, es más fácil, criticar que ponernos en los zapatos de los demás, ¿Por qué cuesta ser empático? Se que cuando vamos a comprar unos zapatos debemos ir directamente a la zapatería a medirnos los zapatos porque podemos correr el riesgo que si no vamos a medírnoslo puede ser que no nos sirvan luego, debido a que pueda tener la horma más grande o más pequeña de lo normal, o el color no sea el que queríamos, o no nos guste como nos quedan puestos, pues, así, es la empatía, sé que es difícil comprender a los demás, pero si buscáramos ser tolerantes, comprensivos, amables, respetuosos, comunicativos, supiéramos escuchar a los demás, salirnos de nosotros mismos, de nuestras cosas, y empezáramos a ver a nuestro alrededor, pudiéramos entonces ser empáticos.

Para mí la empatía es uno de los valores que más me gusta usar, cuando siento que soy intolerante, le pido a Dios me ayude a entender a los demás, a saber que cada persona es diferente a mí, cada quien tiene una historia en la cual de ser respetada aunque sea, debo entender que no todas las personas van a mi ritmo, que no todos tuvieron oportunidades como yo ni pasaron por problemas como los míos, ni tuvieron el mismo proceso de madurez personal que yo, así, para que podamos tener las mejores comunicaciones personales con los demás debemos ser empáticos, así que la empatía debe ser como a tarjeta MasterCard: "nunca salga sin ella".
