Hi friends of @ladiesofhive it's been a while since I participated in one of your contests but this time the second of the two options that the initiative has for this week caught my attention, since maybe I didn't understand very well the concept of the first one, I don't know if it referred to the fact of writing a story to a story of any kind about a hiver or if it was a synopsis, actually I'm not very clear, but anyway, today I would like to share with you the books that I like the most to evade my mind 😃.
Hola amigos de @ladiesofhive hace tiempo que no participo en uno de sus concursos pero en esta ocasión me llamó la atención la segunda de las dos opciones que tiene la iniciativa para esta semana, ya que tal vez no entendí muy bien el concepto de la primera, no sé si se refería al hecho de escribir un relato a una historia de cualquier tipo acerca de un hiver o si se trataba de una sinopsis, en realidad no lo tengo muy claro, pero en fin, hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes los libros que más me gustan para evadir mi mente 😃.
For those who would rather read than write, what are your current favorite book reads for that little "mental escape" or enlightenment? What got you into this book and why?
Para los que prefieren leer a escribir, ¿Cuáles son sus libros favoritos para evadirse mentalmente o iluminarse? ¿Qué le atrajo de este libro y por qué?
There are many books that I like because in a way they help me to escape when I am sad or stressed, but my favorites are those of the fantasy genre, such as Narnia and Harry Potter, and these books are so rich in details and descriptions that quickly awaken all my attention, imagination and creativity, my memory records every word and transforms it into colors, textures and faces, which makes me feel part of that surreal world, it is as if I lived the story instead of just reading it. Harry Potter, for example, has taught me valuable lessons, one of them is that we should not underestimate our own capabilities, we are the way we are for a reason and we have a lot to offer to the world, I like the transformation that the character goes through from childhood to adulthood, maturing in the process, learning new lessons, not only in the academic field but in the personal field, for me and for many people Harry will always be the boy who lived, the young man who fought and the man who won.
Hay muchísimos libros que que me gustan porque de cierta manera me ayudan a evadirme cuando estoy triste o estresada, pero mis favoritos son aquellos del género fantasía, como los de Narnia y Harry Potter, y es que estos libros son tan ricos en detalles y descripciones que rápidamente despiertan toda mi atención, imaginación y creatividad, mi memoria registra cada palabra y la transforma en colores, texturas y rostros, lo cual me hace sentir parte de ese mundo surrealista, es como si viviera la historia en lugar de solo leerla. Harry Potter, por ejemplo me ha enseñado valiosas lecciones, una de ellas es que no debemos subestimar nuestras propias capacidades, somos como somos por alguna razón y tenemos mucho que ofrecerle al mundo, me gusta esa transformación que va viviendo el personaje desde su infancia a la adultez, madurando en el proceso, aprendiendo nuevas lecciones, no solo en el ámbito académico sino en ámbito personal, para mi y para muchas personas Harry siempre será El niño que vivió, el joven que luchó y hombre que venció.
The literary universe of Narnia is more spiritual, there are even many biblical references (there are also in Harry Potter) but in Narnia they are even more evident, for example we have Aslan as the solmene and divine figure who sacrifices himself for his creation, who is always physically bigger than humans because as they grow he does too, there is no specific villain throughout the saga, These can vary from book to book and no one is destined for evil, a villain can be anyone who is simply driven by anger, greed or vanity, but at the same time any of them can achieve redemption through repentance but this can become a very painful process (as the arrogant cousin Eustace Scrubb knows well). Narnia, despite not being a perfect place, for readers is our happy place, it is in short our refuge to escape from everyday life, stress and routine, it is a place where we become one with nature, where we learn to value and respect it because we are even more aware that everything has life, I do not know how to explain it but it is simply beautiful, after reading this saga you go through a metamorphosis.
El universo literario de Narnia es más espiritual, incluso hay muchas referencias bíblicas (también las hay en Harry Potter) pero en Narnia son aún más evidentes, por ejemplo tenemos a Aslan como la figura solmene y divina que se sacrifica por su creación, que siempre es físicamente más grande que los humanos porque a medida que estos crecen él también lo hace, no hay un villano en específico durante toda la saga, estos pueden variar de un libro a otro y nadie está destinado para él mal, un villano puede ser cualquiera que simplemente se deje llevar por la ira, la codicia o la vanidad, pero al mismo tiempo cualquiera de ellos puede alcanzar la redención a través del arrepentimiento pero este puede llegar a ser un proceso muy doloroso (como bien lo sabe el arrogante primo Eustace Scrubb). Narnia, a pesar de no ser un lugar perfecto, para los lectores es nuestro lugar feliz, es en resumidas cuentas nuestro refugio para escapar de la vida cotidiana, del estrés y la rutina, es un lugar en el que nos volvemos uno con la naturaleza, donde aprendemos a valorar y a respetarla porque somos aún más conscientes de que todo tiene vida, no sé como explicarlo pero es simplemente hermoso, luego de leer esta saga pasas por una metamorfosis.
