What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are having an awesome day with your friends and family and also battling your way in this amazing game. If you are a dedicated player then I guess you know that the last ranked season just ended a couple of hours ago and we have already entered a brand new ranked season. If you have played in the previous season and collected Glint tokens then hope you have claimed your Glint tokens reward by now and started your journey for this ongoing season and right now, we have almost 15 days before this ongoing one meets its end. On the other hand, the Soulkeep game has also gone live recently and we can play and earn rewards from this brand new game in Splinterverse, I am about to start playing Soulkeep from this season onwards and will share my experience with all of you soon.
Now, let me move forward to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about my favourite card with Martyr ability. If you are also a splinterlands player then you must have used this ability many times as it is one of the best abilities in this game. Now, as you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing Venari Marksrat and its unmatched power, so without any further delay, let us jump right in.
VENARI MARKSRAT
Venari Marksrat is a reward edition card that comes under the Chaos Legion edition card set and this card can be earned through buying card draws or reward chests in the reward shop. This card belongs to the Neutral element, so if allowed by the match ruleset we can use this card with any element. It is a rare type of card which means we need a total of 115 BCX of cards to upgrade this to max level. The attack type of this card is ranged and it costs only 3 mana to be used in battles, so we can easily fit this card in our lineups when playing small to medium mana limit matches. Now, let us look deeper into this card’s league wise stats and abilities below.
BRONZE
At level 2, this card possesses 1 ranged attack at 1 speed with 3 health and it also gets the Martyr ability since its initial level. With the help of martyr ability, whenever this card dies in battle, it increases all the stats of its adjacent minsters by +1. So it will help you to make one or two of your monsters more powerful.
SILVER
When this card reaches level 4, it receives 1 ranged attack at an increased 2 speed with 4 health, but it does not get any new ability at Silver League. However, the increased stats will help you to attack faster and also endure more hits from enemy cards before going down.
GOLD
If you upgrade this card to level 6, its stats get increased further and it gets 1 ranged attack at an increased 3 speed with 4 health. Not only that, it also gets a new ability called Snare from Level 5 and with the help of this ability, whenever it attacks a flying ability card, it will not miss its attack and upon hitting its target, it will take away the flying ability from the enemy card.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 8, it possesses an increased 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 4 health and also gets the Shatter ability at its max level. With the help of Shatter ability, whenever it attacks an enemy card it will break the armour fully.

BATTLE STAT
This time I got an awesome match with a mana limit of 51 and all the elements except Fire were allowed in this match. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Little Leagues, Silence Summoners and Return Fire and I started thinking about how to build my lineup to win this match. As this match has the Return Fire ruleset applied, I decided to choose the Marksrat so that it dies after a couple of attacks and gives its adjacent monsters more stats. So, I started building my lineup accordingly.
For this match, I chose the ability less Rebellion summoner Prunda and at the first place of my lineup, I chose Xenith Monk followed by Uraeus, Stitch Leech, Pelacor Bandit, Marksrat and Doctor Blight at the end position. As both the lineups got revealed next, I found out that my opponent had used the Dragon summoner Quix and at his front defence, he chose the same Xenith Monk followed by Tide Biter, Uraeus, Pelacor Bandit, Cruel and Doctor Blight at the end position. As you can see, both of us relied on sneak monsters, but I chose 3 sneak monsters thanks to my dual element summoner Prunda.
BATTLE PERFORMANCE
As the match started, the enemy Pelacor attacked first and killed down my marksrat and thus, both my Blight and Bandit got +1 to all stats instantly. Then my Uraeus attacked and broke the cruel’s armour and also applied poison on it. The enemy Uraeus attacked next but missed its target in my Bandit, followed by the attacks of enemy Xenith and tide who wounded my Xenith but my Xenith also healed it up next and attacked back. Then my Leech attacked the Cruel and wounded it down to 2 health. Lastly, both the Doctors attacked but the enemy doctor applied affliction on my Xenith and the first round ended here.
In round 2, the cruel died because of poison and my Bandit attacked first and killed own the enemy Bandit in one blow, followed by the enemy Uraeus who again missed its attack upon my Bandit. The enemy Tide was successful in killing down my Xenith but then my Uraeus killed down the enemy Xenith and took the revenge. My Leech and Doctor attacked next and while the leech took away the armour from enemy Uraeus, my Doctor wounded the enemy Tider down to 2 health and applied poison upon it. Lastly, the enemy Doctor attacked my Uraeus and wounded its health down to 1 but thankfully didn't apply poison.
When the Third round began, the Tide died because of Poison and my Bandit again attacked at first and killed down the Uraeus this time. The only monster left in the opponent’s lineup was the Doctor and I easily took care of it too and thus won this amazing match.
