Good afternoon my dear #Hive readers, happy Tuesday to everyone and I hope you are doing great and that you are having an excellent week, for those who do not know me yet, let me introduce myself, I am Manuel and this is my art blog where I share each and every one of my artistic creations. This time I come with a work focused on the #Splinterlands game, which as you know has a weekly dynamic in which they invite us to choose one of the cards from their game and make an illustration or drawing. In this case, I chose the (Moxian Rebel) card for my participation, which basically represents a group of warriors who fight alongside the (Riftwatchers) fervently against the legion of chaos ... I hope you like it and here I will leave you with the complete creation process of the work so you can appreciate it better:
Muy buenas tardes mis queridos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, feliz martes para todos y espero que se encuentren de maravilla y que estén teniendo una excelente semana, para los que aun no me conocen pues me presento, yo soy Manuel y este es mi blog de arte donde comparto todas y cada una de mis creaciones artísticas. En esta oportunidad vengo con una obra enfocada en el juego de #Splinterlands, que como sabrán tienen una dinámica semanal en la cual donde nos invitan a elegir una de las cartas de su juego y realizar una ilustración o dibujo. En este caso yo elegí para mi participación la carta de (Moxian Rebel), la cual básicamente representa a un grupo de guerreros los cuales luchan junto a los (Riftwatchers) de manera fervientemente contra la legión del caos…espero les guste y aquí los dejare con el proceso completo de creación de la obra para que lo aprecien mejor:
PROCESS / PROCESO
Well, since this would be the first time I would illustrate the character of this card, I wanted to do a fairly close portrait-style sketch so I could better work on the character's details with greater attention. I began the coloring process by making base strokes on the face area, here I combined some reddish tones with some light tones for the illuminated areas of the skin such as the forehead, eyelids, and cheekbones. Once I finished with the visible skin areas, I moved on to painting the eyes, and in this case I wanted to convey a half-closed gaze fixed to one side with tones like yellow and orange. The idea here was for the girl (Moxian Rebel) to look quite reckless and cold.
Bueno, como esta sería la primera vez que ilustraría al personaje de esta carta quise realizar un boceto medio a estilo retrato bastante cercano para poder trabajar mejor en los detalles del personaje con mejor atención. Empecé el proceso de coloreado realizando trazos base en la zona del rostro, aquí combiné unos tonos rojizos con algunos tonos claros para las zonas iluminadas de la piel como la frente, parpados y los pómulos. Al culminar con las zonas de piel visibles me pase al pintado de los ojos, y en este caso quería transmitir una mirada medio entrecerrada y fija hacia un lado con tonos como el amarillo y naranjas, la idea aquí era que la chica (Moxian Rebel) se viese bastante temeraria y fría.
For the second stage of coloring, I focused entirely on the clothing. This took me a little longer since the character is wearing several different garments. Using olive green tones, I created a loose, long-sleeved blouse with plenty of folds and wrinkles. Then, using blue and gray tones, I created some shiny metallic protectors on the upper part of the shoulders. For the torso, I wanted to create a sort of leather corset with plenty of detail. The first thing I did was take a couple of brown tones and, using my rough brush, create the vertical texture, molding everything to the silhouette and bust of the (Moxian Rebel). Then, using yellow and white tones, I created small golden details on the edges and middle of the corset.
Para la 2da etapa del coloreado me ocupe enteramente de la vestimenta, aquí si me demore un poco mas ya que el personaje lleva consigo varias prendas diferentes, entonces con tonos verdes oliva cree una blusa ancha de mangas largas con bastante pliegues y arrugas; luego en la zona de los hombros usando tonos azules y grises cree unos protectores metálicos con bastantes brillos en la parte alta. En el caso del torso quise crear una especie corsé de cuero con bastantes detalles, lo primero fue tomar un par de tonos marrones y con mi pincel rugoso ir creando la textura vertical amoldando todo a la silueta y el busto de la (Moxian Rebel); luego con tonos amarillos y blancos cree pequeños detalles dorados en los bordes y la parte media del corse.
In the 3rd step, I created a long, dark purple hairstyle swept back, but tapered at the sides, very Viking-style, for example. I also added some details to the ears, such as hoops and a hair bow. For the staff, I created a metallic base for the handle, and at the tip, I created a sort of shiny rock or crystal with blue sparkles. Then, right on the (Moxian Rebel's) raised palm, using my cloud brush at low opacity, I created a sort of magical energy or aura emanating from her body.
En la 3ra etapa forme una cabellera morada oscuro con un estilo de peinado largo hacia atrás, pero rebajado a los lados de la cabeza, muy al estilo de los vikingos, por ejemplo; así como también agregue algunos detalles en las orejas como argollas y un moño para el pelo. Con respecto al báculo cree una base metálica para el mango, y justo en la punta cree una especie de roca o cristal brillante con brillos azules; luego justo en la palma alzada de la (Moxian Rebel) usando mi pincel de nubes a baja opacidad forme una especie de energía o aura mágica emanando de su cuerpo.
