1️⃣ Recientemente he renovado un viejo interés por la jardinería como hobby, cultivando flores, frutas y verduras fuera de casa. Puede que no ahorre mucho de mis gastos en alimentación, pero esto es más por satisfacción personal, así como para reaprender viejas habilidades. ¿Tienes jardín? ¿O te gustaría tenerlo? ¿Qué te gustaría cultivar en tu pequeño paraíso?
Mi saludable conexión
Lirio naranjaDonde quiera que me ha correspondido estar, allí con amor he forjado mi hogar, siempre acompañada de mi oasis verde, su bondadosa adaptabilidad le ha permitido adecuarse a las condiciones, sin menoscabo de su presencia. No es un capricho, es para mí una necesidad, forma parte de mis adopciones, en mi estilo de vida saludable, porque repercute positivamente en mi salud.
El contacto con la naturaleza es un elixir que me reconforta, genera tranquilidad y equilibra mis sentidos. Pero mi convulsa vida diaria no siempre me permite disfrutarla en plenitud. Sin embargo, la jardinería como actividad ha contribuido favorablemente a mi bienestar físico y mental.
Venezuela, mi país, tiene un clima tropical con dos periodos durante el año, uno seco y otro lluvioso. Aunque existen diferentes macro y microclimas, en la zona donde vivo actualmente sus temperaturas oscilan entre 34 y 38 °C aproximadamente entre 93 y 100 °F, por lo que mi jardín se adapta a estas condiciones de temperatura y humedad, tengo algunas plantas frutales de temporada (cambur y lechosa) pero predominan las plantas ornamentales, siempre teniendo en consideración para su cultivo, que tengan la capacidad de fluir en estas condiciones. Algunas en macetas, otras en tierra, dependiendo de las peculiaridades de la planta, esto me permite una mejor distribución de líquidos y nutrientes, además de facilitar su manejo y cuidado.

Mi vergel debe considerar algunas características, como la presencia de agua y piedra, en interacción con la vegetación, las plantas serán siempre autóctonas de la zona, y en la medida de lo posible deben convivir en la diversidad, es decir, mezcladas entre sí, siempre que sea factible, sin afectarse unas a otras. De esta forma recreo mi ecosistema, mi espacio lleno de energía y vitalidad.
Siento y asimilo mi mundo verde como un espacio de cuidados compartidos, cuido mi entorno natural con sus elementos y a cambio, ellos me reconfortan y me cuidan. Me gusta conocer mis plantas, identificarlas y precisar sus especificidades y requerimientos, así adapto y personalizo sus cuidados, para ello utilizo una app (Pl@ntNet), que me genera toda la información necesaria. Me resisto a tener una planta solo por "capricho", porque es "bonita" o por su "flor" o cualquier otra condición e ignorar el hábitat y sus necesidades. Sería un desastre y la sometería a un estrés innecesario, al estar en un lugar inadecuado, sufriría si su capacidad de adaptación es débil y eventualmente perecería. La naturaleza es bella tal como es, en libertad y respetando sus particularidades.

Es gratamente estimulante sumergirme en mi pequeño jardín y más aún después de un día difícil y agotador, me libera del estrés, me relaja y me facilita conciliar el sueño. Me produce alegría y felicidad cuidar de mis plantas con contemplación, pero también con cierto celo. Puedo perder fácilmente la noción del tiempo y cuando llega el momento de remover la tierra, abonar, mover las macetas y trasplantar, es una actividad física beneficiosa. Los exquisitos espectáculos de la floración en sus distintas etapas, las nuevas hojas que surgen, los nuevos brotes, son gratificantes. El equilibrio y la armonía que se genera entre los distintos elementos que componen el espacio, es reparador y regenerador. Me gusta registrar los acontecimientos y la evolución a través de fotografías.
Antes de finalizar este encuentro les contaré un poco sobre los especiales Lirios Naranja, estas beldades eran la debilidad de mi madre, llegaron a su jardín, a través de dos plántulas, traídas de una zona fría del estado Trujillo, Venezuela. Cuando los trajimos, pensé que nunca sobrevivirían a la tierra caliente, pero para mi sorpresa se adaptaron plácidamente.

Hoy los cultivo, los trasplanto y los obsequio en floración, al igual que lo hacía mi madre. Es toda una satisfacción y deleite, son simpáticos y muy bonitos. Generalmente, los tengo bajo la sombra y cobijo de una planta mayor. Cuando coinciden en florecer es todo un acontecimiento encantador, el contraste del naranja en ocasiones rojizo, con el intenso verde, una delicia de sensaciones.

1️⃣ I’ve recently renewed an old interest in hobby gardening in growing flowers, fruit, and vegetables outside my home. I may not save much out of my food expenses, but this is more for personal satisfaction as well as relearning old skills. Do you have a garden? Or wish you had one? What would you like to grow in your own little paradise?

Wherever it has corresponded to me to be, there with love I have forged my home, always accompanied by my green oasis, where its kind adaptability has allowed it to adjust to the conditions, without undermining its presence. It is not a whim, it is for me a necessity, it is part of my adoption, of my healthy lifestyle, because it has a positive impact on my health.
The contact with nature is an elixir that comforts me, and generates tranquility and balance to my senses. But my convulsive daily life does not always allow me to enjoy it to its fullest. However, gardening as an activity has contributed favorably to my physical and mental well-being.
Venezuela, my country, has a tropical climate with two periods during the year, one dry and the other rainy. Although there are different macro and microclimates, in the area where I currently live its temperatures range between 34 and 38 °C approximately between 93 and 100 °F, so my garden is adapted to these conditions of temperature and humidity, I have some seasonal fruit plants (banana and papaya) but predominantly ornamental plants, always taking into account for its cultivation that can flow in these conditions. Some in pots, others in soil, depending on the peculiarities of the plant, this allows me a better distribution of liquids and nutrients, in addition to facilitating their management and care.

My orchard must include some characteristics, such as the presence of water and stone, in interaction with the vegetation, the plants will always be native to the area, and as far as possible should coexist in diversity, that is, mixed, whenever feasible, without affecting each other. In this way I recreate my ecosystem, my space full of energy and vitality.
I feel and assimilate my green world as a space of shared care, I take care of my natural environment with its elements and in return, they comfort me and take care of me. I like to know my plants, identify them, and specify their specificities and requirements, so I adapt and personalize their care, for this, I use an app (Pl@ntNet), which generates all the necessary information. I am reluctant to have a plant just on a "whim", because it is "pretty" or because of its "flower" or any other condition and ignore the habitat and its needs. It would be a disaster and would subject it to unnecessary stress, being in an unsuitable place, it would suffer if its ability to adapt is weak and eventually perish. Nature is beautiful just as it is, in freedom and respecting its particularities.

It is pleasantly stimulating to immerse myself in my little garden and even more so after a difficult and tiring day, it frees me from stress, relaxes me, and makes it easier for me to fall asleep. It brings me joy and happiness to take care of my plants with contemplation, but also with a certain zeal. I can easily lose track of time and when it is time to turn the soil, fertilize, move the pots, and transplant, it is a beneficial physical activity. The exquisite spectacles of flowering in its various stages, the new leaves emerging, the new shoots, are gratifying. The balance and harmony that is generated between the different elements that make up the space, is restorative and regenerative. I like to record the events and their evolution through photographs.
Before ending this meeting I will tell you a little bit about the special Orange Lilies, these beauties were my mother's weakness, they came to her garden, through two seedlings, brought from a cold area of Trujillo state, Venezuela. When we brought them, I thought they would never survive the hot land, but to my surprise, they adapted placidly.

Today I grow them, transplant them, and give them away in bloom, just as my mother did. It is a great satisfaction and delight, they are nice and very beautiful. Generally, I have them under the shade and shelter of a larger plant. When they coincide in blooming it is a charming event, the contrast of the orange, sometimes reddish, with the intense green, a delight of sensations.
