Some stories could be real life because there are things that should not be and are. And that, it is worth being told through a story that although being fictitious, has its origin in realities that are perhaps a little crazy. The story of Jorge, the monkey, is one of them.

I still remember my days of freedom. When I lived in that forest full of leafy trees. Everything was immense green. The trees were just for me and my family. My mom always took care of me. She made sure that I didn't get separated from her so I wouldn't get lost. My friends used to say that there were bad people in the forest, that they would catch the children and take them far away and they would never see their mother again. I was very afraid of those stories. So, I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else but in my green forest life and with my family.

However, sometimes your reality changes and can become very dark. That Sunday, I remember it very well. The day was sunny with a beautiful blue sky. We went out for a group walk as usual. I never thought that momentarily leaving the group could have fatal consequences. I got lost for a moment and desperately looked for the rest of my friends and nothing, I could only see the trees and nothing else.

Suddenly I felt something that trapped me and I struggled to free myself from the thing that prevented me from running through the trees. It was them, the bad men of whom I had been told so many times. They caught me and took me with them far away from my home. I still don't understand what I am doing here. I want to cry and I remember my mom and my brothers. Everything looks different. There are streets and many people, this is not the forest where I live.

We arrive at a house and I still don't understand anything. My house is the forest, the trees. I don't know what I'm doing here. They take me down and I'm in a house with a floor that's not dirt. There is a tree and a bald man to whom they hand me over and tie me by the tail to a tree.

I try to let go and I feel like crying. Now I understand everything. They caught me and tied me up here, I still don't know why. I try to let go and nothing. I give up and I have tiredness mixed with a lot of sadness. I fall asleep in the tree that, as far as I can see, will be my new home. My mom must be worried about me.

Days passed and I only see the bald man who sometimes mistreats me and pulls me by the tail. It's bad, very bad and now I know why I was warned so much about these people. Sometimes I manage to ride on the wall of a house next door. There are trees too, it's a very nice house. There are always kids playing and running around in the yard, just like I and my friends were. There is a little dog that barks at me when he sees me.

Aún recuerdo mis días de libertad. Cuando vivía en aquel bosque poblado de árboles frondosos. Todo era verde inmenso. Los árboles eran solo para mí y mi familia. Mi mamá siempre me cuidaba. Estaba pendiente de que no me separara de ella para que no me perdiera. Mis amigos decían que en el bosque había gente mala, que atrapaba a los niños y se los llevaban muy lejos y mas nunca volvían a ver a su mamá. Me daban mucho miedo esas historias. Así que, no podía imaginarme en otro lado que no fuera en mi bosque verde vida y al lado de mi familia.

Sin embargo, a veces tu realidad cambia y puede volverse muy oscura. Ese domingo, lo recuerdo muy bien. El día era soleado con un cielo azulito muy hermoso. Salimos a pasear en grupo como siempre.
Nunca pensé que el alejarme momentáneamente del grupo, pudiera tener consecuencias fatales. Me perdí por un momento y desesperado buscaba al resto de mis amigos y nada, solo veía los árboles y nada más.

De repente sentí algo que me atrapó y luché por librarme de eso que me impedía salir corriendo entre los árboles. Eran ellos, los hombres malos de quién tantas veces me habían hablado. Me atraparon y me llevaban con ellos lejos de mi casa. No entiendo aún que hago aquí. Quiero llorar y recuerdo a mi mamá y mis hermanos. Se ve todo diferente. Hay calles y mucha gente, esto no es el bosque donde vivo yo.

Llegamos a una casa y aún no entiendo nada. Mi casa es el bosque, los árboles. No se que hago aquí. Me bajan y estoy en una casa con un piso que no es de tierra. Hay un árbol y un hombre calvo a quien me entregan y me amarra de la cola a un árbol. Trato de soltarme y tengo ganas de llorar. Ahora lo entiendo todo. Me apresaron y me amarraron aquí aún no sé para que. Trato de soltarme y nada. Me rindo y tengo cansancio mezclado con mucha tristeza. Me quedo dormido en el árbol que por lo que veo, será mi nuevo hogar. Mi mamá debe estar preocupada por mi.

Pasaron los días y solo veo al hombre calvo que a veces me maltrata y me hala por la cola. Es malo, muy malo y ahora sé porque me advertían tanto de estas personas. A veces logro montarme en la pared de una casa que se encuentra al lado. Hay árboles también, es una casa muy bonita. Siempre hay niños jugando y corriendo en el patio, así como éramos mis amigos y yo. Hay un perrito que me ladra cuando me ve.
