When I first started playing Splinterlands, a little over two years ago, I got attracted by the kindness and care of the Splinterlands team. Whether it was @splinterlands daily turned into weekly upvote for Splinterland posts. Then to discord channel with help and support from other fellow gamers I got to rent for free whole set of cards to play and winning cards for participating in giveaways. The whole community of Splinterlands was united in one cause, share their joy of the game Splinterlands to all who seek to play.
Since then the user base has increased. On the Twitter platform the official Splinterlands account which was banned for unspecified reasons. Twitter Bans Splinterlands. The social media was and is still focusing on their own NFT content which suspicious seems convenient that around the same time Splinterlands twitter account was banned.
This happened about two months ago and yet here we are with Splinterlands still having the most amount of active players since its inception.
Splinterlands now has a new twitter account: https://twitter.com/splinterlandshq and has continue on with game's current news. Unfortunately it has to start from scratch in the build up of followers as currently it is under 500. However not even Twitter can stop the fans of Splinterlands.
Chat Rooms
One of my go to places to interact with fellow Splinterlands gamers is their official Discord channel. A lot of official announcements and interactions with the game's developers are public for all to see.

As of this blog post there are currently 6542 people are in the Splinterland's Official Discord Channel. On top of that 88 people known as mavericks, players who bough +500 booster packs, and multiple developers, and other employees of Splinterlands makes the entire channel's total close to 7k users.
The discord channel is where I found help and assistant in playing the game and having cards to earn crypto. I would have never gone this far in the game without the channel and the people who are in them.
As mobile apps have been very popular over the years social media apps such as Telegram got popular too. So Splinterlands also has a Telegram channel.
On the platform there is an amazing +16k of members with over 2.2k active members.
For those who do not follow Splinterlands there is no hiding it when it comes to its association with Hive blockchain. The Hive blockchain categorized by many as a social media platform is where all of the game's activities are recorded. The specific tribe dedicated to the game has multiple daily post of player's activities in the game or about the game.
As a matter of fact the current blog post is associated to the tribe. Authors of posts can earn crypto rewards for their posts through other's upvotes. Whether SPT tokens that are specific to the Splintertalk.io tribe or Splinterland's official Hive account.
The earned crypto rewards whether SPT tokens through Splintertalk.io or Hive/HBD from hive.blog all those crypto earned can be used to purchase Splinterlands cards and packs. I have been doing so for years and have a mass a majority of my card collection through this process. Each day I blog post about almost anything and earn rewards. Currently with the Splinterland growth in popularity I have been daily blogging about the game and related contents to earn crypto rewards. In turn I use those rewards to strengthen my Splinterlands card deck.
Conclusions
I wrote this post to illustrate the vast mediums beyond the game where players and fans can gather around and talk anything whether its related to Splinterlands or something else unrelated. However the primary focus of all its members is the association with Splinterlands.
The Splinterland community is vast as it crosses multiple social media platforms and what I write here are just the official Splinterlands accounts. There are multiple other social media platforms where Splinterlands fans gather together but are not apart of the official Splinterland's ownership but may in the very near future have. For isntance Splinterlands has now been promoting its Twitch channel and promising to have a YouTube channel.
So much for a Twitter ban on the game. Splinterlands popularity continues to climb and there does not seem like anything can stop it.
