Sensory kite

Hello!!! As promised, today I bring you my first sensory toy made with the materials I showed here a few days ago.

To begin with I chose a simple design, something more experimental than creative, just to see the result of the combination of colors and textures. It is an item of which there are many variants on the market, nothing of my invention.

It is known as a kite (although it doesn't fly 😉) in fact it does, but only a little 🤭. It is a toy with a lot of movement, soft texture and I added some bells to make it make sounds when it moves.

The wooden ring has a wide diameter which allows the baby a firm grip, stimulating his muscle development. The suggested age for the use of this toy varies with each child and the skills he/she is acquiring. In addition, the small toy provides visual, auditory and tactile stimulation.

When a baby interacts directly with this type of toy, close adult supervision is necessary, since its elements can come loose or break. It is not common for this to happen, but it is better to be cautious. You can also hang it at a height that can only be touched by the baby's feet, thus providing certain stimuli and working on motor coordination, which is very important at that age.

Hola!!! Cómo lo prometido es deuda, hoy les traigo mi primer juguete sensorial realizado con los materiales que mostré aquí hace unos días.

Para comenzar escogí un diseño sencillo, algo más experimental que creativo, solo para ver el resultado de la combinación de colores y texturas. Es un artículo del que existen muchas variantes en el mercado, nada de mi invención.

Se le conoce por cometa (aunque no vuela 😉) de hecho sí, pero solo un poco 🤭. Es un juguete con mucho movimiento, de textura suave y añadí unos cascabeles para que emita sonidos al moverse.

El aro de madera tiene un diámetro amplio lo que permite al bebé un agarre firme, estimulando su desarrollo muscular. La edad sugerida para el uso de este juguete varía con cada niño y las capacidades que vaya adquiriendo. Además el pequeño juguete proporciona estímulos visuales, auditivos y del tacto.

Cuando un bebé interactúe directamente con este tipo de juguetes es necesario supervisión atenta de un adulto ya que sus elementos pueden safarse o partirse. No es común que suceda, pero es mejor precaver. También se le puede colgar a una altura que solo logré tocarlo con sus pies, así igualmente se proporcionan ciertos estímulos y se trabaja en la coordinación motora, muy importante a esa edad.

Sin más le dejó la lista de materiales y el proceso creativo que es muy sencillo.

We will need:

• Satin ribbons of 60 x 0.5 cm of different colors.
• A natural beech wood ring of 5cm diameter.
• 2 bells.

Necesitaremos:

• Cintas de raso de 60 x 0,5 cm de diferentes colores
• Un aro de madera de haya natural de 5cm de diámetro
• 2 cascabeles.

We will begin by knotting the ribbons to the hoop with a simple knot, we make it double for greater security. We will choose the order of the colors and the amount of ribbons we want to put.

Comenzaremos anudando las cintas al aro con un nudo simple, lo hacemos doble para mayor seguridad. Eligiremos a nuestro gusto el orden de los colores y la cantidad de cintas que querramos poner.

We select the 2 where we want to put the bells. We incorporate them after the first knot and then we will make 2 more knots. These should be as strong and glued as possible to the hoop. We will put them with 1 or 2 ribbons of separation between them so that they sound better.

Seleccionamos las 2 donde queremos poner los cascabeles. Los incorporamos después del primer nudo y luego haremos 2 nudos más. Estos deben quedar lo más fuerte y pegado posible al aro. Los pondremos con 1 o 2 cintas de separación entre ellos para que suenen mejor.

With these simple steps we have made a simple but super stimulating toy, just what we expected from this project.

Con estos simples pasos hemos hecho un juguete sencillo pero súper estimulante, justo lo que esperábamos de este proyecto.
