It's another focus for the week at @hodlcommunity contests and I'm more excited about this as I bring to you an interesting update from the Leofinance community. When I first saw the update, I was so happy to be part of it until I saw the requirements but I didn't give up on it yet as I plan to apply for it when I'm qualified.
What am I ranting about?
Leofinance wants five Cubs from the community to give ThreadSquire role... One of the sweetest role in the community if you ask me hehe.
Firstly, I'll share what "Threads" is which I want to believe is known to a lot of persons already judging from the number of persons using the thread option for their posts promotion and microblogging. Threading is the recent development on Hive by the Leofinance community to aid microblogging (as it is on Twitter) and users earn Leo tokens that way regardless of if you use the right tags or not.
I'm a huge fan of this development and I can only say, those who are yet to get into it are missing out but it's not too late to start getting involved to enjoy it's benefits and ease. The Leofinance community saw it fit and interesting to make Cubs around the Den apply for a position that is fitting for them to help move the threads plan forward.
Are you a Cub in the community? (5k Leo Power holder)
This call is for you but that isn't the only requirement as there are people who have more than that and could qualify for it as well. But more qualifications were added so to help the idea it was being made successful. But if you're a Cub in the community, you're a step forward to being a #ThreadSquire for Leofinance.
What Can Make You A True ThreadSquire?
- Be a heavy #threads user
From the name, you could already guess what you should be good at to be a true ThreadSquire and that is being active on threads. This isn't supposed to be hard if you do enjoy being there before now. I've seen a lot of people who spends most of their time there having fun, you just have to go get fun while being a heavy thread user.
Sharing your thoughts, answering questions, replying other threads and promoting your posts there are a way to stay active on threads and you just find yourself becoming a heavy user. The sweet part of this is that you'll earn Leo tokens while you're having fun with it... And of course, quality for the role open at the moment.
Like I had said, if you're not threading now... You're missing out.
- Knowing how the Hive Blockchain works
This would mean newbies who recently joined the blockchain can't get the role but not to worry, you could get it some other time. A ThreadSquire needs to know enough about where he works at and that is the blockchain to be a true ThreadSquire. If you know you know well enough about how the blockchain works, you're a step forward to being a true ThreadSquire.
A little tip here: Always be ready to learn and don't stay hidden as a newbie, you need to learn as much as you can as your days on Hive counts because you've got other newbies to teach later.
- Want to engage on Twitter
Having a twitter account is a start and engaging there is another. If you're interested in being a ThreadSquire, you've got to do both. Staying active on Twitter and on threads shouldn't be too hard as they are alike in some ways. Just have fun with it, that's what's important.
- Be part of other communities on Hive
Understanding how the blockchain works should also have made you join other communities as Hive is all about communities which gives support and grows together. You will be a true ThreadSquire if you are a good Hive user who is supportive to other communities. This doesn't subscribing to communities outside your niche or to every community you find on the blockchain though.
- Must have made a #MyLeoGoals post
A true Leo user (To be ThreadSquire) should have plans of growing his or her stakes and so it is important that you had joined the #myleogoals challenge but if you haven't yet, you can still do that now by simply getting a target and writing about it. The guide is all in here for you.
Why should one go through all this to get the role? How important is the role?
If you've been active with the Leofinance community, you should have known by now that it is one of the top communities on the blockchain with lots of projects and more upcoming ones. Getting a role in such a community should be a big boost to your account, your zeal to grow on Hive and also give you more stories to tell outside the Blockchain.
You can become a ThreadSquire, get yourself qualified!
