Having an entire day exclusively with my son is something incredible. I can't always do it due to many commitments. But when it happens, I'm sure both of us leave there very happy. I spend time with my son on weekends since I'm divorced from his mother. So, these are the days we have to strengthen our bond and build memories. During school holidays, he spends all his time with me, so I eagerly await that time to have him with me more.
Recently, I discovered a great place here in my city, a perfect spot to spend an afternoon. There's a fantastic space for practicing sports, or if you just want to relax, it's also a good place. I've been going there for about three weekends now, mainly for cycling and skateboarding. My son wasn't very interested in skateboarding; he preferred the bike that he already knows how to ride. I think every time I encouraged him to skateboard, he didn't do it out of fear or a bit of embarrassment for not knowing how to ride.
But last weekend, he finally gathered the courage and went for it. I was quite incredulous that he finally did it, and I was very happy. At first, he didn't seem very confident that he could do it, but in the end, he succeeded. I don't know who was happier that he managed it, whether it was me or him—it was amazing.
This morning, I took him to his mother's house; school is starting, and it's time for him to prepare for another year. Before leaving, he asked me if we could skateboard. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible because we were already running late, but I promised that next weekend, we would do it again.
See how important it is to maintain a constant presence in a child's life. This wasn't the first time I taught him something, and then he became passionate about it. It's necessary to encourage and also wait for the right moment for him to be interested; you can't force a child to do something. It's a natural process that must be done intelligently for him to be interested and not hate something that was imposed on him.

When he has a child, he will know how things should be done, and this is a kind of chain that we must cultivate for future generations. Ter um dia inteiro exclusivo com meu filho é algo incrível. Nem sempre posso fazer isso, há muitos afazeres. Mas quando acontece, tenho certeza de que ambos saímos de lá muito felizes.Eu fico com meu filho nos fins de semana, pois sou divorciado da mãe dele. Lá tem um espaço ótimo para praticar alguns esportes, ou mesmo se você quer apenas relaxar, é um bom lugar também.Já faz uns três finais de semana que vou até lá, principalmente para andar de bicicleta e skate. Meu filho não se interessou muito pelo skate, preferiu a bicicleta que já sabe andar. Acho que todas as vezes que o incentivei a andar de skate, ele não foi por medo ou por ter um pouco de vergonha de não saber andar.
Mas no último fim de semana, ele finalmente tomou coragem e foi andar. Fiquei bem incrédulo que ele finalmente fez isso, fiquei muito feliz. No começo, ele parecia não estar muito confiante de que iria conseguir, mas no final conseguiu. Não sei quem ficou mais feliz por ele ter conseguido, se fui eu ou ele, foi incrível.
Hoje de manhã, levei ele para a casa da mãe, as aulas estão começando e está na hora dele se preparar para mais um ano no colégio. Antes de ir, ele me perguntou se poderíamos andar de skate. Infelizmente, não foi possível, pois já estávamos atrasados, mas prometi que no próximo final de semana, nós iríamos andar de novo.
Veja como é importante manter uma presença constante na vida de uma criança. Essa não foi a primeira vez que ensinei algo para ele e depois ele se apaixonou por aquilo. É necessário incentivar e esperar também o momento certo para que ele se interesse, não dá para obrigar uma criança a fazer algo. É um processo natural, que deve ser feito de maneira inteligente para que ele se interesse e não odeie algo que foi imposto a ser feito.
Enfim, criamos mais memórias juntos que ele levará para a vida. Quando ele tiver um filho, saberá como as coisas devem ser feitas e esse é um tipo de corrente que devemos cultivar para as futuras gerações. É um pouco do nosso trabalho para um mundo melhor, se pensarmos em grande escala, mas para algo mais próximo, são boas memórias a serem carregadas por quem amamos.
