Splinterlands é um jogo de estratégia do qual precisamos planejar cada batalha de acordo com as adversidades encontradas pelo caminho. As dinâmicas das batalhas podem dar a entender que precisamos improvisar estratégias, visto que uma batalha raramente será igual a outra. Claro que algumas vezes, improvisar vai ser necessário, porém um jogador experiente consegue identificar quais são as melhores opções assim que o desafio é lançado.
Podemos entrar em uma partida com a intenção de ser ofensivo e acabar com tudo logo, jogar na retranca e contar com alguma estratégia por trás disso. O equilíbrio pode ser previsível, porém eficaz? Dificilmente vamos encontrar um resposta exata para todas as perguntas, cada situação é uma oportunidade para melhorar o nosso arsenal de conhecimento.
Hoje eu gostaria de falar sobre uma carta que vem chamando a minha atenção nas partidas, um monstro que é um excelente suporte em partidas de nível de Liga Gold dentro do elemento Água: MERDAALI GUARDIAN
MERDAALI GUARDIAN é um monstro que não possui ataque e que talvez, de primeira impressão, pareça ser um monstro não muito bom para ser usado em nossas batalhas. Em seu primeiro nível, a única utilidade que ela possui é curar o tank aliado. Não que essa seja uma habilidade ruim, mas existem outros monstros que podem fazer a mesma coisa e ainda desferir algum ataque, mesmo que pouco. Porém, é quando esse monstro com nível para Liga Gold, se torna um dos melhores suportes para o elemento água (na minha opinião).
Para poder falar um pouco mais sobre sua utilidade, devemos conhecer as habilidades que esse monstro possui em seus respectivos níveis:

- Essa é uma habilidade de suporte muito útil em nossas partidas. Um tank que consegue permanecer por mais tempo em campo, da mais segurança ao resto time. Temos incríveis tanks no elemento água que podem ser ajudados por essa habilidade, por si só, essa é uma excelente habilidade para ser explorada.

É exatamente aqui no level 5 que MERDAALI GUARDIAN se torna uma das melhores suportes no elemento água. Podemos usar o summoner Kelya Frendul, explorar a armadura adicionada para todos os monstros, e usar a habilidade Repair para ajudar na proteção.
Claro, existem outras situações em que essa habilidade será bem útil. Em regras de batalha como Armored Up ou quando algum monstro possuir a habilidade Protect, teremos escudos para os monstros e isso possibilita que MERDAALI GUARDIAN possa ajudar reparando os escudos perdidos.

- Essa não é uma das melhores habilidades mas é melhor ter um pouco de vida a mais de que de menos, certo?
Outro ponto importante em que devo mencionar sobre esse monstro é seu baixo custo de mana. Um monstro que tem um custo relativamente baixo é mais fácil de ser encaixado em qualquer composição, principalmente em partidas de baixa mana.
O ponto negativo que eu acredito que esse monstro possui é que precisa de uma boa sinergia e depender que escudos estejam a postos para que sua habilidade Repair possa ter utilidade. Não possuir ataque também acredito que seja um ponto negativo. mas afinal não pode ter tudo, certo?
Concluindo: Esse é um monstro que quando está em nível para a Liga Gold, tem uma sinergia muito boa com o summoner Kelya Frendul. Podem ser construídos muitas estratégias em cima de suas habilidades. Ter esse monstro em campo, significa que existe boas possibilidade de que os monstros permaneçam vivos um pouco mais de tempo. Um bom monstro para dar suporte para o nosso time!
Em uma escala de de 0 à 10, minha nota para esse monstro é 8,8!
MERDAALI GUARDIAN é um monstro que tem boa utilidade e isso é fator interessante para trazer uma boa demanda em sua direção. Não é a toa que é uma das cartas mais caras da edição Chaos Legion dentro de sua raridade, ficando atrás somente dos summoners e de poucas outras cartas mais "populares".

Nessa partida temos a regra de batalha Armored Up que adiciona + 2 de escudos para todos os monstros em campo. Normalmente nessa regra, os monstros mágicos são boas opções, pois nos poupa o trabalho de ter que quebrar escudos. Essa é uma boa regra para que MERDAALI GUARDIAN se mostre eficiente: poderá restaurar possíveis escudos que tenha sidos quebrados e também restaurar a vida do meu tank.
Meu oponente escolhe o summoner Alric e vai com força mágica adicional para os seus monstros, enquanto eu escolho o summoner Kelya Frendul com mais escudos e velocidade. A escolha de meu oponente me surpreende pois não tinha pensado nessa possibilidade, mesmo olhando seu histórico de batalha.

Visando que eu tinha escudos adicionados pela regra de batalha e pelo summoner, restaurar qualquer escudo que fosse quebrado seria o trabalho de MERDAALI GUARDIAN. Além dos escudos, ela seria muito importante para restaurar a vida do meu tank.
Dijinn Oshannus foi o ponto chave para essa batalha. Se ele morresse, eu estaria totalmente vulnerável aos ataques mágicos do oponente, Djinn era a minha única proteção contra isso.
Angelic Mandarim foi de grande utilidade com sua habilidade Triage. Meu segundo monstro levaria danos pela habilidade Blast por duas vezes a cada rodada e dessa forma, Angelic restaura a vida do monstro aliado me poupando perder um monstro.
Mesmo não indo para essa partida totalmente preparado contra ataques mágicos, ir com um tank que suportasse dano em combo com MERDAALI GUARDIAN, assegurou que minha defesa ficasse erguida por mais tempo. Assim, o restante da minha equipe poderia fazer o seu trabalho ofensivo, me trazendo a vitória nessa batalha!

We can go into a game with the intention of being offensive and get it over with, play on the back and have some strategy behind it. Can the balance be predictable yet effective? We will hardly find an exact answer to all questions, each situation is an opportunity to improve our arsenal of knowledge.
Today I would like to talk about a card that has been catching my attention in matches, a monster that is an excellent support in Gold League level matches within the Water element: MERDAALI GUARDIAN
MERDAALI GUARDIAN is a monster that doesn't have an attack and that maybe, at first impression, seems to be a not very good monster to be used in our battles. At her first level, the only use she has is healing the allied tank. Not that this is a bad skill, but there are other monsters that can do the same thing and still make some attack, even if just a little. However, that's when this monster with a level of Gold League becomes one of the best supports for the water element (in my opinion).
To be able to talk a little more about its usefulness, we must know the abilities that this monster has at its respective levels:

- This is a very useful support skill in our matches. A tank that can stay longer on the field, gives more security to the rest of the team. We have amazing tanks in the water element that can be helped by this skill, on its own, this is an excellent skill to exploit.

It's exactly here at level 5 that MERDAALI GUARDIAN becomes one of the best supports in the water element. We can use the summoner Kelya Frendul, exploit the added armor for all monsters, and use the Repair skill to help with protection.
Of course, there are other situations where this skill will be very useful. In battle rules like Armored Up or when a monster has the Protect ability, we will have shields for the monsters and this makes it possible for MERDAALI GUARDIAN to help repair the shields lost.

- This is not one of the best skills but it's better to have a little more life than less, right?
Another important point I should mention about this monster is its low mana cost. A monster that has a relatively low cost is easier to fit into any composition, especially in low mana matches.
The downside I believe this monster has is that it needs good synergy and relying on shields being in place for its Repair ability to be useful. Not having attack I also believe that is a negative point. But after all, you can't have everything, right?
Concluding: This is a monster that when leveled for the Gold League, has a very good synergy with the summoner Kelya Frendul. Many strategies can be built upon your skills. Having this monster on the field means that there is a good chance that the monsters will stay alive a little longer. A good monster to support our team!

MERDAALI GUARDIAN is a monster that has good utility and this is an interesting factor to bring a good demand in your direction. It's no wonder that it is one of the most expensive cards in the Chaos Legion edition within its rarity, second only to summoners and a few other more "popular" cards.

Usually in this rule, magic monsters are good options, as it saves us the trouble of having to break shields. This is a good rule for MERDAALI GUARDIAN to be efficient: it can restore possible shields that have been broken and also restore my tank's health.
My opponent chooses summoner Alric and goes with additional magic strength to his monsters, while I choose summoner Kelya Frendul with more shields and speed. My opponent's choice surprises me as I hadn't thought of that possibility, even looking at his battle history.

My strategy:
Since I had shields added by the battle rule and the summoner, restoring any shields that were broken would be the job of MERDAALI GUARDIAN. In addition to shields, it would be very important to restore my tank's health.
Dijinn Oshannus was the key point for this battle. If he died, I would be totally vulnerable to the opponent's magic attacks, Djinn was my only protection against that.
Angelic Mandarin was of great use with his Triage skill. My second monster would take damage from the Blast skill twice each round and that way Angelic restores the ally monster's health saving me from losing a monster.
Even though I didn't go into this match fully prepared against magic attacks, going with a tank that could take combo damage with MERDAALI GUARDIAN, ensured that my defense was up for longer. That way, the rest of my team could do their offensive work, bringing me victory in this battle!
