Everyone looks but not everyone sees
Hi guys! Top of the morning to you, it’s been a while I wrote anything about prices and market movements and it’s not like I haven’t been watching, I actually have but I haven’t been seeing anything, except for king bitcoin, most other L1 cryptos have just been a lull especially my major portfolio, talking about Hive, Rune, Leo and SPS.
These guys are still over 80% down from their all time highs while king bitcoin is only about 10% away from it’s all time high after crossing $50k mark last night. Bitcoin is having all the action, and we’ll never have enough of it.
The Blinding Effect of Low Prices
It’s obviously Bitcoins season. Who said the BTC ETF approvals won’t affect the price of Bitcoin and entire crypto market at large? They were very wrong.
But BTC ETF buy ins are only one side of the coin, on the other side, Bitcoins fundamentals have been kicking it way before now, it’s just now that those fundamentals are beginning to align with it’s true value, thanks but no thanks to the ETF’s, I mean, there was a Bitcoin AD at the last Super Bowl event that Blackrock sponsored😲, the madness is just starting, suddenly everyone is talking about Bitcoin that was ignored when the price was at $10k, $20k, $30k and even $40k.
That’s the thing about looking at prices especially when the market is down, it is blinding.
This exact same scenario is happening with my major portfolio, like I said, I’ve been watching the prices but I haven’t been seeing anything, but that doesn’t mean it’s only prices I’m watching, I’m also watching the fundamentals of each project, which tells me everything, so much that it’s what powers my conviction to keep holding them and even stack more.
Talk About Hive
Hive is in a supercool position right now to shake things up, if you haven’t noticed, every other week there’s a game launching, it seems like most of them are tradeable card games, and for some reason I find that interesting.
I can categorically tell you that Splinterlands is the best TCG on blockchain, and is powered by Hive, it’ll a take a whole new post to tell you why and explain further but just stick with me,,……
……Splinterlands being successful as such lays the foundation for any other tradeable card game to thrive on Hive, we shouldn’t have only Splinterlands, we can have so many more tradeable card games, like Splinterlands but in their own ways, with their own stories, building their own community, with better ideas from experience on Spliterlands….
A buzzing ecosystem is good for the economy. I use Splinterlands in particular as reference because it’s had its fair share of highs and lows and keeps going, there’s so much lesson to be learnt from that.
Another way is if Splinterlands creates an incubation system, or a sort of simulator where anyone will be able to launch their own version of tradeable card game, perhaps paying with $SPS.
Imagine an ecosystem of more than 20 quality tradeable card games, all buzzing with tournaments, brawls, battles, tradings, that’s a lot of buzz you know? And this is what I think Innevium is trying to achieve, but that’s a story for another post.
But For Watching Fundamentals
Watching the fundamentals is the boring part compared to watching the prices but the real fun begins when the fundamentals and price begin to match up, but unfortunately when that starts happening, it’s already a little too late, you can tell this from Bitcoin.
Continuing with that thought, it's like there's a whole spectacle unfolding right before our eyes, and yet, it's easy to miss the forest for the trees.
The focus on immediate price action often overshadows the underlying strengths and potential of these assets. Hive, Rune, Leo, and SPS, for example, are not just digital tokens; they represent vibrant communities, innovative technologies, and real-world utilities.
These are the signs of life and growth beneath the surface, the kind of foundational elements that, in the long run, drive value far beyond fleeting market sentiments.
Seeing Beyond the Price Tickers
Many are looking at these assets and seeing nothing but red numbers and missed opportunities, but few are truly seeing the bigger picture.
It's about understanding what these projects are building, the problems they're solving, and the value they're adding to the ecosystem. This is where true vision comes into play. It's easy to be a spectator on the sidelines, watching prices go up and down.
But it takes insight and foresight to see beyond the volatility and recognize the enduring worth of what's being developed.
My Strategy: Looking and Seeing
This is why my strategy has always been two-fold: look and see. Looking at the prices, yes, because that's part of the game.
But more importantly, seeing the progress, the development milestones, the community engagement, and the real-world applications that are slowly but surely taking shape. This is what fuels my confidence in my portfolio choices, despite the current market downturn.
The Future Is Bright
As for the future, I'm more excited than ever. With Bitcoin leading the charge, if Bitcoin is showing us one thing with market behaviors, it’s that any healthy project is liable to recover it’s all time high after a bear market and create new highs, I'm convinced that the rest of my portfolio will follow suit.
The fundamentals are strong, the communities are dedicated, and the innovations are groundbreaking. For those who are truly seeing, the current prices represent an opportunity—an opportunity to be part of something transformative at a critical juncture. Raaaaar! I welcome the bull market with open arms.
