Greetings friends! I am completely excited to participate in the weekly splinterlands art contest for the first time.
Asi qué para esta ocasión he seleccionado la carta llamada: Ever Hungry Skull. La cual es representada por una calavera de color azul.
So for this occasion I have selected the card called: Ever Hungry Skull. Which is represented by a blue skull.
Decidí hacer la ilustración al estilo pixel art, ya que es uno de mis estilos de dibujo favorito y el lienzo que utilicé inicialmente fué de 128 x 128 pixeles.
I decided to do the illustration in pixel art style, since it is one of my favorite drawing styles and the canvas I used initially was 128 x 128 pixels.
Empecé haciendo un boceto tipico de la técnica del pixel art, pixel por pixel.
I started by making a typical sketch of the pixel art technique, pixel by pixel.
En una capa mas abajo, rellené la silueta de la calavera con un color azul claro, el cuál seria el color base.
On a lower layer, fill the silhouette of the skull with a light blue color, which would be the base color.
Con un color azul un poco más oscuro que el azul base, le hice algunas sombras.
With a blue color a little darker than the base blue, I made some shadows.
Continúe haciendo más sombras, pero esta vez usando la tecnica del tramado, pixel por pixel. Ademas de agregarle más detalles, como la grieta en la frente y las grietas de debajo de las cuencas de los ojos.
Continue making more shadows, but this time using the dithering technique, pixel by pixel. In addition to adding more details, such as the crack in the forehead and the cracks under the eye sockets.
En este punto, utilicé un color azul más claro que el color azul base para darle luz al dibujo. Ademas de darle color a la dentadura de la calavera, usando gris y blanco.
At this point, I used a lighter blue color than the base blue color to give light to the drawing. In addition to giving color to the skull's teeth, using gray and white.
Agregué los destellos rojos de los ojos y rodee la silueta de la calavera con un color rosado claro, para darle algunos efectos de luz. Los cuales tambien servirian mas adelante para la realizacion del gif animado que les dejé al principio del post.
I added the red sparkles to the eyes and surrounded the silhouette of the skull with a light pink color, to give it some lighting effects. Which would also be used later to create the animated gif that I left at the beginning of the post.
Y para terminar, le hice este fondo, dando como resultado final esta imagen.
And to finish, I made this background, resulting in this image.
