Hello Splinterfans!
This week we have the new Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge with the ruleset Healed Out.
When I see the ruleset healed out, I am usually thinking "Oh no!", as this usually throws a spanner into the works of some of my goto deck combinations. However, depending on the mana size, there are a few combinations that I still like.
With Healed Out, you do not get any healing abilities and this can severly weaken some of your monsters and effect your tank. Some other things to consider instead are monsters that may provide other buffs such as shield or scavenger where a monster gains health when another monster dies.
In today's battle, I have gone with my goto earth magic deck due to the high mana of the battle.
My Team
This is a high-mana battle with also unprotected, so there is no shields to protect anyone.

Mycelic Slipspawn | Taunt & Forecfield abilities |

ROUND 1 - Grund vs. Diemonshark
Two old powerful foes face-off today. Who will be victorious? The powerful Grund with his double-strike ability or the strong Diemonshark, both with trample ability.

The answer is yes, even with his fast speed, it is not enough to hold off my onslaught. He and Flying Squid both fall in the first round.
ROUND 2

This leaves a face-off between Goblin Psychic and the powerful Kulu Mastermind for round 3. With no healing abilities, the monsters are dropping like flies.
ROUND 3
Goblin Psychic is the first to fall, but Kron the Undying and Runemancer Florre manage to dispose of Kulu Mastermind.
ROUND 4-6
It is now 2 against 1. Surely it should be an easy victory, except Runemancer Kye has the lifeleech ability, this is boosting her health each round. Sadly it is not enough though as I claim victory in the end.
Summary:
Using the healed out strategy requires to make sure you have enough health in your monsters or it would be a quick game. Some things to consider are the awesome life leech ability that my opponent used here or scavenger ability that I mentioned before to give you an extra edge.
It could have been a different story had my opponent considered my magic attack and used Djinn Oschannus as tank, but luckily for me he didn't.
How do you play the Healed Out ruleset?
Thanks for reading.
