Following with a phrase that I have always believed and that is "It's never too late to see a movie or series" I decided to finish watching the first season of the Netflix series, "The Umbrella Academy ", this is based on the comic of the same name created by the vocalist of "My Chemical Romance", Gerard Way, this first season was released in February last year and by that time I only saw its first two episodes, I don't think I had the motivation to see a series about people with powers, maybe it was because the many films that were released about comic book characters that year saturated me a little bit about this kind of stories and I won't accuse the little originality of their story or anything like that because I think that if they were focused on showing the life of the kids at the academy with their different missions, maybe it would be less original than it already is.

Siguiendo con una frase con la cual siempre he creído y esa es "Nunca es tarde para ver una película o serie" decidí al terminar de ver la primera temporada de la serie de Netflix, "The Umbrella Academy", esta es basada en el comic del mismo nombre creado por el vocalista de "My Chemical Romance", Gerard Way, esta primera temporada se estrenó en febrero del año pasado y para ese momento solo vi sus dos primeros episodios, no creo que tenía la motivación para ver una serie sobre personas con poderes, tal vez fue por las muchas películas que se estrenaron sobre personajes de comics de ese año me saturaron un poco sobre este tipo de historias y tampoco acusare lo poco original de su historia ni nada parecido porque creo que si se fueran enfocado en mostrar la vida de los chicos en la academia con sus diferentes misiones, tal vez fuera sido menos original de lo que ya es.
Even though a year has passed since the premiere of this season and the series itself, when I finished watching it yesterday I only thought about writing about this phase that this very dysfunctional family is going through, even though the basis of their story is about a group of children who were born on the same day and were adopted by the same man and as they grow up they have different powers that will be used to save the world (or try to save it) when the time is right, This story is about much more than adoption, the need for parents, trust, brotherhood, friendship, love, hate, doing things right, but more than anything else it is about how wrong parenting can influence someone's life and future actions.
A pesar de que ya ha pasado un año del estreno de esta temporada y la serie en si, al terminarla de ver el día de ayer solo pensaba en escribir sobre esta fase que vive esta familia muy disfuncional, a pesar de que la base de su historia es sobre un grupo de niños que nacieron el mismo día y fueron adoptados por el mismo hombre y al crecer presentan diferentes poderes que serán usados para salvar al mundo (o tratar de salvarlo) cuando sea el momento preciso, esta historia toca mucho más sobre la adopción, la necesidad de tener padres, la confianza, la hermandad, la amistad, el amor, odio, hacer las cosas bien, pero más que nada el como una crianza errada podrá influir en la vida de alguien y en los actos que realizara en un futuro.
At the end of the final episode of the first season, I was just thinking how I liked this story, I like how despite being 7 characters born to different mothers, who are not perfect at all and have been used for a good thing, but with the worst possible parenting with over exploitation and deception, we can see seven siblings supporting each other and never leave any behind, This is something extremely important in this series and I imagine in the comic, the way how no matter what is happening, whether it is a simple mission to catch some kidnappers or avoid the apocalypse, they will be together looking for a solution to stop everything and save the world, this is what from the beginning his very wrong father wanted, but he could never achieve it.
Al finalizar el episodio final de la primera temporada, solo pensaba el cómo me había gustado esta historia, me gusta como a pesar de ser 7 personajes que nacieron de diferentes madres, que para nada son perfectos y que han sido usado para un hacer un bien, pero con la peor crianza posible con sobre explotación y engaños, podemos ver a siete hermanos apoyarse entre si y nunca dejar a ninguno atrás, esto es algo sumamente importante en esta serie e imagino en el comic, la forma de cómo sin importa que esté sucediendo, sea en una simple misión para atrapar a unos secuestradores o evitar el apocalipsis, ellos estarán juntos buscando una solución para detener todo y salvar al mundo, esto es lo que desde un principio quería su muy errado padre, pero nunca pudo lograrlo.
The series has a lot of influence in X-Men, it's very evident and very difficult not to relate this series with the group of mutants of Marvel Comics, but as I said before I think that this story as it is told that is focused when they are no longer a group of heroes but of individuals that use their powers in a wrong way is something that maybe not much has been done with the X-Men, they keep a group of faithful students next to their leader, this group doesn't have anyone reliable who guided them, many lies, many secrets that make them reject in what they really are, in the series itself I can find references to characters like Storm, Gambit, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Bishop, Beast, many more, I'm not saying they are identical copies, but there is influence in powers and stories of each of these characters, but this series does not show this influence of another family full of extraordinary characters, there are moments that made me remember the relationship between "Anakin Skywalker" and "Palpatine" and of course the film Carrie (1976).
La serie tiene mucha influencia en X-Men, es muy evidente y muy difícil no relacionar esta serie con el grupo de mutantes de Marvel Comics, pero como dije anteriormente creo que esta historia tal como es contada que se enfoca cuando ya no son un grupo de héroes sino de individuos que usan de forma errada sus poderes es algo que tal vez no se ha hecho mucho con los X-Men, ellos mantiene a un grupo de fieles alumnos junto a su líder, este grupo no tiene a nadie confiable quien los guié, muchas mentiras, muchos secretos que hacen que rechacen en lo que verdaderamente ellos son, en la serie en si puedo encontrar referencias a personajes como Storm, Gambit, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Bishop, Beast, muchos más, no digo que sean copias idénticas, pero hay influencia en poderes e historias de cada uno de estos personajes, pero esta serie no muestra esta influencia de otra familia llena de personajes extraordinarios, hay momentos que me hicieron recordar la relación entre "Anakin Skywalker" y "Palpatine" y por supuesto al film Carrie (1976).
But not only of super powers and dysfunctional family goes this series, we also have "Time Travel", this is something very good, I really like these stories where we must travel to the future, to the past and if a change is made, then there will be consequences and this series shows these consequences, We see how there are acts that tell us what could have happened in the past and what change triggered what we live in the future, you may think that history is over saturated in the ten episodes that make up this season, but I did not see it that way, each of the characters has an importance in each of those episodes and does not make it boring but very interesting.
Pero no solo de súper poderes y familia disfuncional va esta serie, también tenemos "Viajes en el Tiempo", esto es algo muy bueno, a mí me gusta mucho estas historias donde debemos viajar al futuro, al pasado y si se realiza un cambio, entonces habrá consecuencias y esta serie muestra estas consecuencias, vemos como hay actos que nos dicen que pudo suceder en el pasado y que cambio desencadeno lo que vivimos en el futuro, podrán pensar que es sobre saturada la historia en los diez episodios que conforman esta temporada, pero no lo vi de esa forma, cada uno de los personajes tiene una importancia en cada uno de esos episodios y no lo hace aburrido sino muy interesante.
The performances are good, but I think that the ones made by Ellen Page as "Vanya", Robert Sheehan as "Klaus" and Aidan Gallagher as "Five", are excellent, the first one that is my favorite character, we see as a submissive, weak and forgotten woman has always sought to be important and has never taken that step forward in her life, but that when she gets the necessary confidence is the most important thing in history and will transform the future of the earth, the second is the most fun there is with great power and great fear, always looking for an easy way out until in a strange way he can focus on what he wants most and the last one, someone who grew up alone and who will look for any way to avoid that happening again, but who will find it very difficult to express what he feels because of the loneliness and what he has done to get a new opportunity, excellent performance of each of these actors which I name for being the ones that I liked the most in this first part of this story.
I enjoyed a lot this season, just last night I saw the first six minutes of the second season that was released a few days ago and I was very excited about what I had seen, is an excellent story with very good characters, today I will continue to see it and I hope these days to make a review of this phase and not wait another year as I did with this one, I recommend it for those who haven't seen it and more than this year we are free of movies and series about comic book heroes so to fulfill that annual quota of seeing the fight of good against evil where characters with super strength, lightning, agility and other powers and time travel are involved, you can take a look at Netflix and see "The Umbrella Academy".
Las actuaciones son buenas, pero creo que las hechas por Ellen Page como "Vanya", Robert Sheehan como "Klaus" y Aidan Gallagher como "Five", son excelentes, la primera que es mi personaje favorito, vemos como una sumisa, débil y olvidada mujer siempre ha buscado ser importante y nunca ha dado ese paso adelante en su vida, pero que cuando obtiene la confianza necesaria es de lo más importante en la historia y que transformara el futuro de la tierra, el segundo es lo más divertido que hay con un gran poder y un gran miedo, buscando siempre una salida fácil hasta que de una forma extraña podrá centrarse en lo que más quiere y el ultimo, alguien que creció solo y que buscara cualquier forma para evitar que eso vuelva a ocurrir, pero que le será muy difícil expresar lo que siente a causa de la soledad y lo que ha hecho para poder obtener una nueva oportunidad, excelente interpretación de cada uno de estos actores los cuales nombro por ser los que más me han gustado en esta primera parte de esta historia.
Disfrute mucho de esta temporada, anoche mismo vi los primeros seis minutos de la segunda temporada que fue estrenada hace pocos días atrás y estaba muy emocionado por lo que había visto, es una excelente historia con muy buenos personajes, hoy seguiré viéndola y espero en estos días hacer una reseña sobre esta fase y no esperar otro año tal como lo hice con esta, la recomiendo para quien no la ha visto y mas que este año estamos libres de películas y series sobre héroes de comics así que para cumplir esa cuota anual de ver la lucha del bien contra el mal donde estén envueltos personajes con superfuerza, rayos, agilidad y otros poderes y con viajes en el tiempo, pueden darse una vuelta por Netflix y ver "The Umbrella Academy".
