Probably the longest post of yours I've seen!
While I don't think I have the patience for such things anymore, I am glad that there are more people throwing around better services and devices that can over time threaten the more aggressive corporations that don't treat their customers properly, especially with things like easy self-repair! We should be able to easily swap out batteries that are on their way out, or fix screens without sending them in or being stuck in a lengthy yearly insurance contract.
