Havana, September 5, 2024.
Stand up. Wake up. It was just a heavy dream, a confirmation of your fears. But who doesn't have them? You gasped as if you were punched in the stomach.
It hurts... it hurts because there is fire imprisoned inside my body. I beg forgiveness, my soul, I can't let go of the impossible, and I'm still the fool who longs for a blue embrace.

You fall into a spiral you can't get out of. The woman took everything inside the bag and left it huddled in the dust.
I know because I came back, in a hurry, when I noticed I didn't have it with me.
And when you asked, a little girl, very tiny, pointed to her house.
It hurts. Damn, how it hurts. There were many things there, and not only mine.
You knock on the door, but no one answers.
What am I doing in the street feeling sick?
You're awake now, forget. It was also hard for me to understand why the virus was in my nightmare.

Some facts
I thought I had the super power not to get sick in the middle of a complex epidemiological situation here in Cuba... I never had Dengue fever before, nor did I suffer from Covid19... and now I don't know what I have, but something has caught me. Oropouche, could it be? It came in through one of those rickety doors we usually have... I'm made of butter hahaha.... 😬😄
It's time to secure them all now and get back on my feet to continue telling stories. I miss my bike, but with all the fatigue, fever and other weird things I'm feeling, I shouldn't be out on it.

I made a little trip to be present at my mother's birthday on the 3rd of September. Oh, but believe me I haven't been able to write. It's not easy when you feel like your body is boiling, and it feels like you're wearing a coat of tiny needles and you can't take it off.
Words will come, as I get better. Beautiful things happen that deserve to be told, like when a butterfly, on the way home, got stuck in my parents' car. We had stopped because something had gone wrong with one of the rear wheels. It landed on my finger by itself. I thought it wanted me to release it, but it stayed there for a while before it flew away.
See you, thanks for reading my ramblings ;)
