Hello my fellow hivians, it's the beginning of a new week and I wish everyone here a smooth fruitful week ahead.
It's my pleasure to share with you all about the most memorable day in my life and guess what that day is? Just guess.... okay let me not keep you under suspense; it's my wedding day!
It was such a happy, joyful and exciting day in my life. A day I can never forget and that day was 29th December 2014 when I said "I do" to the husband of my youth and the Love of my life.
How we met each other started like a child play 😊. I grew up with my grandma and it happened that two of my grandma's sons (my uncles) were friends with my husband and he is always visiting them then. So each time he come to our house in search of my uncles, we get to see each other and exchange greetings and most times I could offer him water on request anyways. My husband was still in the university then while I was still at home looking for admission into the university. I didn't even know what marriage looks like then, I was only showing him care and respect as a good friend to my uncle and nothing was attached then. After one year, I got an admission into the university and therefore left home for good . My husband normally visit my uncle each time he came home from school for a weekend but that time around he didn't meet me again as usual.
Fast forward to one faithful day, I came home from school and went to the Bank for a transaction, there we met again and it was an opportunity he was waiting for to have my contact, however we exchanged contacts and started talking over the phone. He is a calling type and could call every day just to check on me. With time, I started developing feelings for him and on the other hand, he confessed to me that his eyes has been on me all those while he has been visiting my uncle and that's why he kept coming 😀
Just when the relationship started waxing stronger, he graduated from school as a civil engineer and was lucky to secure a job in Lagos State just a day after his project defense meanwhile, I was still in my third year in school then . He left to Lagos State for a greener pasture and our relationship became a distance type. To cut the story short, we were good together even over the phone, my studies didn't give me time to travel likewise him, his job was time demanding. We could only see during Christmas period when everyone were at home for the holiday. He made his proposal and I said Yes! We were so deeply in love and so I was eagerly waiting to graduate from school and get married to him so we can be together. To him, it's not necessary I graduate first before our marriage 😀, he couldn't wait as well but we finally waited and so the D_Day came, my wedding day! It was a super day, a day with lots of fun for both of us, a day we craved for to come and it came and we grabbed it 💕❣️
It's gradually going to eight years now and the memory is still so fresh just like yesterday. The choice we made together has been amazing so far without regrets and I pray there will be no regrets even in the future! God has also blessed our marriage with three boys whom I am super proud of 🥳
Each time I put my wedding CD in my TV to watch the event , I will keep smiling until the film is over. It was indeed a good memorable day in my life that I can never forget in a hurry.
Thanks for reading my story.
Remember to keep staying positive and be happy!
