Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. How much change technology has brought to our world is something that we don't even need to be told anymore; it is no new news how much change technology has brought to us. The continuous evolution and advancement of technology have helped to reduce how much stress we have to undergo to get certain things done; how easy and easy access we have to things is something our forefathers did not enjoy.
It is quite sad that with how much technology we have at our disposal at the moment, the generation after us still stands a chance to enjoy even more technological advancement than we do. Sometimes I try to picture what the future will be like. Will humans even be doing anything? Will they even leave their beds? The world is moving towards full automation and robotics too, so I wonder if we will have all these and humans will still do hard jobs. Humans are naturally lazy and like to relax. Trust me, once all these are in place, we will even want to develop robots and automation on how we can be carried from our beds to the dining table and from the dining table back to our beds.
Technology and its continuous evolution have really turned things around for us as humans. Today we have easy access to information; we can send a message across to friends and family members that are miles away in just seconds, and it is no news that it was not so before now, but technology has made that possible. The days of letters and having to wait for 3 months and sometimes more before the recipient gets the letter and more months for the sender to receive the recipient's response—all that caused a breach in communication, and technology with all that we have today has been able to fix the breach.
Visited a friend today, and she was whispering because her roommate was in a Zoom meeting with the manager of the company she applied for a job at. We were not allowed to make a noise or leave the bed unless it was important so we don't jeopardize things for her and let her concentrate, as moving around would probably distract her or displease the interviewer. I kept watching how she responded to the question asked, and I was convinced she could land the job, as her every answer was on point. At the end of the Zoom meeting, they told her to check her email in two working days and that they'd be in touch.
Being able to do a job interview from the comfort of your home is something we get to enjoy today, all thanks to technology. I remember those days when you have a job interview, a job you are not even sure you would land, but you would be forced to travel halfway around the world just to go for the interview, spending a lot of money on transport fare and accommodation in most cases and even feeding. But the advancement of technology has taken off that burden from our shoulders, as we can now do job interviews from the comfort of our homes without stepping outside.
