Hello feathered friends.
November began with rain, which sporadically appeared throughout the month. Significantly colder mornings were often foggy or frosty. Gradual bright periods were ideal for walking and photography. During November, I noticed 22 types of birds in different locations, in and around the place where I live. I visited the usual locations and went on already known routes.
Common buzzard
The common buzzard is a species of bird that is more active during late autumn than during the summer months. I only see them from a distance.
Common chaffinch
This species suddenly appeared during November. Last year, I first noticed them around February.
Common gull
The common gull loves to perform acrobatics on the surface of the water. He shuffles his feet and stabs his beak to somehow get food.
Common moorhen
Common moorhen most often spends time in dense coastal vegetation such as reeds and various bushes.
Eurasian collared dove
It is a real rarity to see them on the ground.
Eurasian jackdaw
They formed large flocks along with the rooks. Sometimes you can meet smaller groups or individuals searching the environment or settling on tree branches.
Eurasian wren
I mostly met them near the pond in the thick woods. They are rarely in populated areas.
European goldfinch
I haven't seen them in a while. Their numbers are expected to increase in the spring, while only a small number will remain during the winter.
Great cormorant
The stranded trunk of the tree is an ideal place for observing and drying feathers for these birds.
Great grey heron
Another great gray heron flies over me and leaves.
Great tit
Their numbers have increased significantly and can be found everywhere along the perimeter of the populated place.
Hooded crow
Some hooded crow roams the fields in search of any food source.
House sparrow
The house sparrow is located mostly near houses in dense bushy vegetation.
Little owl
Little owl hunts more and more often during the day while it is cloudy. Prey most often lurks from the roofs of houses or chimneys.
Long-eared owl
Long-eared owls can perform various activities without watching.
Magpie
They still visit their favorite places and often change their location.
Mute swan
Sometimes they can be seen floating on the pond.
Pheasant
This female pheasant completely blends in with the environment and for this reason, this dense vegetation is an ideal habitat for this species of bird.
Rock pigeon
The largest group of these pigeons is located on the roof of the building in the central part of the settlement.
Rook
It gathers in large numbers and is most often found in tree canopies.
Tree sparrow
It can still be seen in some places near the houses. The vast majority of these birds are located in the immediate vicinity.
Woodpecker
I met them several times searching the trees.
