I have started playing some anytime tournaments, and they've been very fun! I enjoy these much more than the regular single-elimination tournaments where you have to play at a certain hour. It never feels good to schedule a time to play, maybe even rent some cards, and be out of it in the first couple of rounds. For me, these have been much more satisfying to play. I've also been able to earn a decent amount of SPS and get to play more Splinterlands games, other than the ranked battles.

Here's the prize pool:

In these tournaments, each person plays a number of games, usually 11, in a 24 hours period. The top X% (can be 20%, 30%, or 40%) advances to the next phase, which works exactly the same in the next 24 hours period. That means you only need enough time to submit all teams, twice, in two days! I'm currently playing in Gold (ranked play), so I have most cards fully leveled up for this tournament. This one still doesn't allow Riftwatchers cards.

Tournament Report
I have been playing these tournaments. Sadly, with my new job, I haven't had enough time to write these reports but I wanted to make time to write this one.
Day 1:
Match 1:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_13SAgUMHr8lg7df8KhgS&ref=olaf.gui

In Noxious Fumes, Chaos Legion only, Death doesn't have cards with Immunity. I also had Scavo Chemist to Cleanse my Grum and monsters with higher HP. Not a close game.

Match 2:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_0IZnQMkXPD45FAXRsbfg&ref=olaf.gui

Their Flying Squid made me miss a lot. That was enough for them to win, despite the level disadvantage.

Match 3:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_mSv2dNFGAnD2QGDq7gAN&ref=olaf.gui

I faced the content creator @aftersound and it was a close one, despite his cards being at a lower level. It involved some luck on misses. I do prefer the position of my monsters over his.

Match 4:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_BsNmVU35KkBInD9pDD2r&ref=olaf.gui

Facing Jacek is always scary because of the RNG and fast speed. I did have the level advantage, so it was always in my favor.

Match 5:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_KujErWxFbBtl9dA1ULZ6&ref=olaf.gui

My opponent's team couldn't handle Cursed Windeku. It kept healing and dealing damage back.

Match 6:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_OYHbnBOum69nuNCrxQxx&ref=olaf.gui

I got pretty lucky when Uriel missed Grum. I'm not sure I could have won without that.

Match 7:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_iZ37c1ReI9zyj8yhf5yM&ref=olaf.gui

These low mana earthquake games are always weird. My Mycelic Infantry was enough for their whole team.

Match 8:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_BmfGK2x43TK19kAFySI6&ref=olaf.gui

Another scary game against Jacek but Void Dragon was clutch getting several misses. I was able to kill Grum before he got any kills and soon their team started falling, one after another.

Match 9:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_MgWdMq5ODWqnTr8EfXgD&ref=olaf.gui

The higher levels advantage plus the extra speed, thanks to Quix, allowed me to attack first on several situations.

Match 10:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_EhGitdW9IcCctQqJPG5E&ref=olaf.gui

We went with different strategies. They had Angelic Mandarin while I had River Nymph. They also opted for more mid-sized monsters while I went with some bigger monsters and smaller ones. In round 3 the game didn't look too good for me. I had 2 monsters against their 5. However, after the poison damage, things got better and I was left with one pretty healthy monster after Diemonshark and they had low HP on all their monsters. I was able to put the Noxious Fumes rule set to better use and that's why I won.

Match 11:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_PPmKdwkmDKyBmAK7jR0s&ref=olaf.gui

The game didn't look very good for me but I was lucky they placed Goblin Psychic near the front. Because, once I was the only player with one, 2 magic monsters were able to out heal the Goblin by himself.

10-1 on the first day is almost perfect! This leaves me in a great position for the second day.

Day 2:
Match 1:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_OsDIkIA08d6okZ4HCHOw&ref=olaf.gui

The game looked really good for me until I saw Stitch Leech with over 20 HP. That was certainly the MVP of this game.

Match 2:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_rHDxP6t6ZwFetUpaLlNN&ref=olaf.gui

Very close game. I had one monster left with 1 HP! I'm glad I didn't miss any attacks on Regal Peryton.

Match 3:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_fZOVw6vslSgDmibBbyw3&ref=olaf.gui

I was lucky to get Affliction right away and they took a while to get it. My tank survived much longer because of that and it won me the game.

Match 4:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_TnXVcW4e9DKEMcf79sz5&ref=olaf.gui

I had many lower-level cards. It wasn't as bad as it could have been because it's reverse speed. In the end, they missed their attack and it was the difference between winning and losing. Very lucky here.

Match 5:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_nNdDtNLsSozoqkO4mtfO&ref=olaf.gui

I played against @aftersound again and this game was closer than the first. His Monk died before it was even able to heal once. Both Riftwing didn't evade any attacks and I was able to kill his Cursed Windeku before it attacked, on the last turn, thanks to the reverse speed rule set.

Match 6:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_gt4tBRvBxkxyeI2uFWW5&ref=olaf.gui

This one came down to a speed tie between both Grunds. Whoever won that, would win the game and I'm glad it was me.

Match 7:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_tO5O3nmCK2AsdoWqsUPA&ref=olaf.gui

Quix was hurting their 3 ranged monsters and they even had Chaos Agent in the back when I didn't play any Sneak monsters. In no time, their ranged monsters were getting into the front where they couldn't do anything.

Match 8:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_7k5FbMKOPiCu2r3EUscz&ref=olaf.gui

I was destroyed in this game! I needed to evade some attacks with the Blind from Flying Squid but it didn't happen and they had much more firepower than me.

Match 9:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_QB5nkC2D5UZuJFymzyp6&ref=olaf.gui

A lot of misses on both sides and a lot of RNG due to abilities like Blind, Scattershot and Retaliate. I was the victorious one in this RNG fest.

Match 10:
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_YMtDndre0I9XtScvwxmi&ref=olaf.gui

Another game with a lot of misses but here I'm very confident my team was better. Baakjira made their team slower and absorbed so much damage and I had 2 monsters with Demoralize instead of just 1.

9-2 on the second day for a 19-3 total. That was enough for 2nd place, tied with Brooder, who placed 1st! 129 SPS prize is the biggest that I have gotten, by far! I was super happy with that and I hope I can get more big prizes to allow me to continue getting more SPS and be able to participate in all tournaments that I want! Congratulations to everyone who played!

I hope you enjoyed reading this and if that's the reason you decide to start participating in these tournaments, please let me know!
