I've always enjoyed science fiction especially when it involved dystopian futures. Now, I can envision some of those futures at the doorstep and it can be a little worrisome.
I think the Aldous Huxley quote in your post is quite relevant for where we are. I had hoped with all that had happened over the last few years that the masses might be ready to execute some change. I am not sure though that enough people recognize this opportunity and can break free of what is considered normal.
