Hive Music Festival Week 84 // Round 4// An Original song by @oluthomas {The Reigning King)
Salutations to all members of the hive music festival community. Greetings from my blog. I continue to be Oluthomas, and I am so happy that you are in my blog. I didn't consider that an unavoidable fact.
I'm so grateful to participate in the Week 84 round 3 entry, as this is my first time participating in the hive music festival community.
Although this is my first original song, I wanted to avoid working on it and posting it. Nevertheless, I will be singing an original song. However, I believe that every music I sing and listen to has its originator. Actually, I had Nathaniel Bassey's song Casting Crown in mind to sing, but I changed it. I immediately began composing the song's score on the keyboard. I was trying to play a random progression on the keyboard when the bible verse just down on me, and I decided to title the song "The Reigning King."
I sang this song because it has meaning that I wanted to communicate. It discusses how great our God is telling us that if we come in the name of the Lord we are blessed. I discovered that in my nation, "Nigeria," in order to be considered for admission or employment, you must present the name of a well-known or influential person. If you fail to do so, no one will help you, even if you are qualified, and you will become frustrated with the system established by some people in Nigeria.
Despite the fact that everything has an answer, God has supported me when I had no connection at all. I always make sure that I go in the name of the Lord before I do anything else. While some may come in the name of a king, I come in the name of the King of all kings, who is the best and cannot be compared to anybody else. I learned from the Lord's word that although the other names have authority on earth, they are of a lower class in the heavenly realm. This means that the name "Jesus" has authority both on earth and in heaven.
I have therefore made the decision to follow the one who rules the universe and whose government never ends; other governments in this world have an end, but the Lord's reign is eternal. This person has the ability to grant you life and take it, as well as to give you a job and still take it. I felt so happy that I had discovered the key to life when I was singing the song.
The progression was originally intended to be La, So, Fa, and Mi. However, as I was merely playing, I thought, "Let me replace Fa with Re," and it was amazing—even if the Fa is OK to proceed with, I still love the Re.
This is my first original song, which I sung straight from the record without using a book or anything else. I apologize for any of the imperfections i made; I'm still learning how to play and sing. Because I know there are many professional musicians and instrumentalists, I'm requesting you to pay attention while you listen and feel free to correct me in any way. Estoy muy agradecido de participar en la entrada de la ronda 3 de la Semana 84, ya que es la primera vez que participo en la comunidad del festival de música Hive.
Aunque esta es mi primera canción original, quería evitar trabajar en ella y publicarla. Sin embargo, cantaré una canción original. Sin embargo, creo que cada música que canto y escucho tiene su creador. En realidad, tenía en mente cantar la canción Casting Crown de Nathaniel Bassey, pero la cambié. Inmediatamente comencé a componer la partitura de la canción en el teclado. Estaba tratando de tocar una progresión aleatoria en el teclado cuando el versículo de la Biblia me cayó encima y decidí titular la canción "The Reigning King".
