Hello friends, today is May 15, and I just marked a huge milestone in my journey on the Hive blockchain. Yeah, my first 365 days has been completed and I am sooooo happy about that. I got a notification earlier on by @Hivebuzz and its cool to know that I am among the 646k other users that also mark this anniversary here.
Looking back to May 2021, I am happy that I took the decision of adventuring to a whole new platform where I had to learn, met friends and also grow my financial holdings. I was a total novice when it came to blogging, and trust me, everything had to be learnt from the scratch.
Within these first 365 days here, I have been able to achieve the following:
- Made 569 posts
- Made 483 comments
- Earned 329 Hive units as rewards
- Reached a reputation of 59.9
- Connected with 155 friends
- Followed by 81 people
It's really been a journey of deep learning and growth. I knew virtually nothing about cryptocurrency, but now, I didn't just learned, I also earned. I have been able to shoulder a lot of financial responsibilities since I joined Hive and I know the joy of being able to play the big sister role with pride when you can spare some cash to your younger ones while also sending a message to your parents that you're growing stronger.
The Blessings and the Growth
From buying books to clothes to total upkeep at school to paying fees and even starting up an investment. That means a whole lot to me. I wouldn't know what was the intentions of the creators of Hive, but I can say it has become a source of hope and livelihood to many especially those from the developing and Third world countries.
Being a Nigerian can at times be painful especially with the negligence of government, fraud, corruption and worthlessness of the nation's currency. But we got no choice hailing from here. All that's left for us is to find opportunities like this and maximize them to our greatest advantage.
Today, I am proud of myself that I also started a curation investment with CENT token with over 4,000 tokens staked. That helps me to also add value to other users' posts.
There were challenges too
Getting to learn the technical terms here and learning how to get to do a lot of operations on my account was never an easy thing. It took many days of learning and discipline. Getting to find communities that your contents are rewarded was also very challenging. In all, we scaled and we're still going forward.
I thank Sir @Uyobong for telling me about Hive and helping me have a smooth participation here.
Happy Hive anniversary to me.
