[ENG/DEU] The Global DJ Census 2025 is Published!

The Global DJ Census 2025 has been published and is now available for download. What the census contains, how you can get the latest census for free and a few insights into the world of DJing - all this awaits you in this article.

Der Global DJ Census 2025 wurde veröffentlicht und steht nun zum Download bereit. Was der Zensus enthält, wie Du den aktuellen Zensus kostenlos erhalten kannst und ein paar Einblick in die Welt des DJing - all die erwartet Dich hier im Artikel.

The Global DJ Census is compiled annually by the world's largest DJ school, Digital DJ Tips, in cooperation with numerous partners in the DJ industry. (It is only available in English - but easy to understand. If necessary, Google Lens can help). Participation in the survey is open to the 40,000 students of Digital DJ Tips' DJ school, 150,000 DJs on their email list, and the 2,500,000 people Digital DJ Tips reaches through their social networks. The survey period was from December 2024 to January 2025. In the end, “only” 14,000 DJs worldwide took part - but this also yields clear and interesting statements and trends. As far as I know, this census was conducted in 2014 - and with a bit of clicking, you can also organize the previous years if you want to compare developments.

I would now like to give you a few insights into the data. You can also download the census yourself free of charge by clicking here and leaving your email address. The link to your copy will then be sent to you by e-mail.

Der Global DJ Census wird jährlich von der weltweit größten DJ-Schule, Digital DJ Tips, erhoben, in Zusammenarbeit mit zahlreichen Kooperationspartnern der DJ-Industrie. (Er ist aber nur in Englisch verfügbar - aber leicht verständlich. Zur Not hilft Google Lens.) Die Teilnahme an der Befragung steht den 40.000 Studenten der DJ-Schule von Digital DJ Tips, 150.000 DJs in deren E-Mail-Liste, sowie den 2.500.000 Menschen offen, welche Digital DJ Tips über ihre sozialen Netzwerke erreicht. Der Umfragezeitraum war im Dezember 2024 bis in den Januar 2025 hinein. Teilgenommen haben aber letztlich "nur" 14.000 DJs weltweit - aber auch daraus ergeben sich deutliche und interessante Aussagen und Trends. Meinem Wissen nach wird dieser Zensus sein 2014 getätigt - und mit ein bisschen Klickarbeit kann man sich auch die vorherigen Jahre organisieren, wer denn Entwicklungen vergleichen will.

Ein paar Einblicke in die Daten möchte ich Dir nun geben. Du kannst Dir den Zensus aber auch selbst kostenlos herunterladen, indem Du hier klickst und deine E-Mail-Adresse hinterlässt. Der Link zu deinem Exemplar wird Dir dann per E-Mail zugesendet.

Which doesn't surprise me, because you also get this impression in practice: the absolute majority of interviewees/DJs are male. Girls, let's go!
