I am now getting more interested in talking to people about the use of drugs and alcoholic drinks. This is because I am a corps member in the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) CDS group. It is an organisation aimed at focusing on drug addicts while penalising them and also counselling them to turn a new leaf. Since I have been attending my CDS, I have grown interested in the organisation and perhaps might be a member someday 😁
We know that taking something in excess affects the human body. Take for instance, eating a lot of food at a goal instead of the normal proportion could cause things like acid reflux or heartburn, feeling sluggish, stomach discomfort and increased blood sugar. Taking excessive stuff disturbs the body's system and most times causes some kind of ailment in the body.

The excessive consumption of alcoholic drinks and drugs among individuals isn't something new today. A lot of people find pleasure in going overboard with stuff like this and it kills their body system gradually and leads to death in the end if not controlled or properly treated on time. It is easier to recognise one who takes too much alcohol, they know its effects but are less concerned about it. Just like a pack of cigarettes that has the prescription written boldly, "Smokers are liable to die young" still there are individuals who do not mind but ignore what is written on it just to satisfy themselves.
What these people fail to understand is that these stuff only gives momentary relief or pleasure, they are a trap that leads to a downward spiral. Consuming all these causes kidney problems but they wouldn't mind until they are faced with incurable diseases, although some learn their lessons when they are cured, others go back to it until their lives are claimed.
Taking drugs and alcoholic drinks in excess kills and a lot of people need to be educated. For this reason, there would be a sensitization on the 26th of June which is the World's Drug Day which is an International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. All corpers in my CDS group would be going around with the NDLEA team members to educate and enlighten users who abuse drugs.
Banning alcoholic drinks is not possible, enlightenment is what victims need. They need to be taught the importance of moderation and not taking things in excess that would deprive them of good health in the long run. They need to understand the effects of overconsumption of alcoholic drinks. They need to be aware of the dangers that are involved when they do not practice moderation.

A lot of people have gotten addicted in the game that it is very difficult to hijack that habit from them, they only should be corrected in love, given the awareness that these drinks only steal their potential, destroy healthy relationships and it's a path that leads to despair and regret in the end.
The truth is that banning these stuff can't change things but worsen the situation. I wouldn't think of banning these products but to bring people together and build a campaign or organisation that is solely on educating victims found in such situations.
These users have their ways of bringing in hard drugs and dangerous drinks codedly and there are terminologies given to them that they understand themselves without a third party being aware of. So, it is better to educate them than take them away completely so it doesn't generate another issue in society.
Whether we want to believe it or not, if the companies that are producing these drinks are banned, there is what we call "Possession of Drugs". This is a process whereby an individual who cannot afford or get in touch with these products creates them by themselves and that causes more harm than good.
Thanks for your time reading. Looking forward to your interaction.
