Hello my beautiful community and artist friends 🤩 I missed so much sewing and sharing with you again. However, you have been very much on my mind.
I was recently able to refill my fabric supply 😂 You guys know what a thrill that is 🌟 it's wonderful.
Looking through the fabrics at the store where they sell them, my brother helped me pick out this plaid one that I really liked to make a combination in a men's boxer.

Hola mi hermosa comunidad y amigos artistas 🤩 Extrañaba mucho coser y compartir con ustedes nuevamente. Sin embargo, han estado muy presente en mi mente.
Hace poco pude recargar mi abastecimiento de telas 😂 Ustedes saben la emoción que eso representa 🌟 es maravilloso.
Buscando entre las telas del local donde las venden, mi hermano me ayudó a elegir ésta de cuadros que me gustó mucho para hacer una combinación en un bóxer de caballero.
The problem came when I thought about what color I would match it with. As you know, I prefer to make combined or contrasted garments.
I searched through the unicolor ones that were there and I got just the one that went with the plaid! It was a surprise for me to get exactly the one I needed 🤩
So, as soon as I could, I got my hands on the scissors and threads and let's sew! 🤗 Here I show you how I did it.
El problema vino cuando pensé con qué color la combinaría. Como ustedes saben, me gusta preferiblemente hacer prendas combinadas o contrastadas.
Busqué entre las unicolor que estaban allí y ¡conseguí justamente la que le iba a los cuadros! Fue una sorpresa para mí conseguir exactamente la que necesitaba 🤩
Así que, en cuanto pude, puse manos a la tijera e hilos y ¡a coser se ha dicho! 🤗 Acá les muestro como lo hice.

I took the basic boxer pattern and transformed it myself to give a different style to the boxer. I decided to take a few inches off the sides of the front and back and take out two equal pieces to serve as sides. At the waist I subtracted two centimeters to make the boxer lower. I left the intimate front and back pieces the same.
Tomé el patrón básico de bóxer y yo misma lo transformé para darle un estilo diferente al bóxer. Decidí quitar unos centímetros de los costados del delantero y el trasero y sacar dos piezas iguales que sirvieran de laterales. En la cintura le resté dos centímetros para que quedara más bajo el bóxer. La pieza íntima delantera y trasera las dejé igual.

I placed and sewed the fabrics of the intimate front piece in such a way that the combination was also on them. Since it has several curves, I hand stitched it to the front of the boxer to make sure it was well positioned. Then I attached it with the machine using a zigzag. I did it the same way as on the boy's boxer that I showed you a while ago.
Coloque y cosí las telas de la pieza íntima delantera de forma que quedara la combinación también en ellas. Como tiene varias curvas, la cosí a mano al delantero del boxer para asegurarme de que quedara bien ubicada. Luego la fijé con la máquina usando zigzag. Lo hice igual que en el bóxer de niño que les mostré hace un tiempo.

The intimate back piece also takes a trick 😅 so I still preferred to sew it by hand and then on the machine. I used zigzag, straight and repeated with straight to secure the piece. Now I sew the sides.
La pieza íntima trasera también lleva su truco 😅 así que igualmente preferí coserla a mano y luego en la máquina. Usé zigzag, recta y repisé con recta para asegurar la pieza. Ahora coso los laterales.

Once the boxer is closed, all that's left is the elastic (I used 72 CM long and the thickness is up to you) and the hem. I made marks on the elastic and the fabric to stretch it evenly. Finally, I made the hem and sewed it with a three step stitch to make it more mobile.
Cerrado el bóxer, solo falta la elástica (usé 72 CM de largo y el grueso es a elección) y el ruedo. Hice marcas en la elástica y la tela para estirar uniformemente. Finalmente, le hice su ruedo y cosí con puntada de tres tiempos para que tenga mayor movilidad.
